As Demi raced down the road through the rain, she prayed that Kate was safe. She had almost lost her all those years ago and she wasn't going to lose her now, not after abandoning her all those years ago. Even as other people honked at her to go back, she pressed on. With each clap of thunder, she pressed the gas further.

When she arrived, she saw the whole Rodeo in shambles. She wanted to check in on other people and help, but she was focused on finding Kate. As she frantically ran around, yelling her name, she heard her voice. "Over here!" Kate exclaimed in the distance.

Once Kate was in sight, Demi ran over and bear-hugged Kate, inspecting her to make sure she was alright. When Tyler came over, she did the same. "God, don't either of you scare me like that again" She scolded, sighing in relief when she saw they were okay. Soon after, Javi pulled up with Scott. Demi walked off to go talk to Kate while Lilly and Ben talked to Tyler.

As the two talk, Javi comes over, confused as to why Kate and Demi were there. When he found out about the tornado, he went to their rooms, but they were gone. Looking around, he spotted Tyler in the distance talking and he felt his blood boil. "You were here with, Owens?" He accused, looking back and forth at the two girls.

"No, I was out on a drive when Kate called me, thank you very much" She snapped, confused as to why he was acting like this.

"Yeah, why?" Kate asked, and when Javi went to respond, Scott came over.

"Javi. Apparently, this place was family-owned, I'm gonna work up some numbers- Marshall's gonna want those first thing." He said, pointing in the direction of the hotel.

"Seriously? People could be dead and you're worried about making some fucking money?" Demi yelled, stepping up to Scott and shoving him. Javi had to hold her back, "Woah, calm down." He pleaded before looking back at Scott, "Okay man, I'll catch up in a bit."

"Seriously?" Demi said, her heart breaking as he just played everything off. She shoved him away from her, not wanting him near her.

"Javi... What is Riggs getting out of all your data collection?" Kate asked, holding Demi's shoulder, hoping to calm her down. Javi looked at the two girls, not sure of what to tell them or what to do. "What- what's the matter?" He stammered, leaving Demi with a sense of betrayal. When she went to say something, Kate spoke up.

"Is profiting off of people's tragedy part of your business plan?" Kate demanded. "Why are you doing this?" She asked again, a look of guilt washing over Javi's face as he looked around before shaking his head. "Hold on, Riggs is offering these people a way to move on with their lives." He defended, looking around and catching a glance at Tyler again.

"No the fuck he isn't, Javi- Why can't you see that?" Demi said, hurt lacing her voice.

"He's swooping in and taking advantage of people who have just lost everything-" Kate yelled, still not understanding how he could do something like this. "You have no idea what that's like" She accused, making Javi scoff.

Demi looked at Kate shocked because it wasn't true, Javi had lost his friends to a tornado and 2 more when the two of them moved away. He may not have lost as much as her or Kate or even the people losing their homes, but he still lost people close to him... He started Storm Par because of the incident and them leaving him behind, who was Kate of all people to tell him about loss?

"I don't know what that's like?" He stated, dumbfounded and hurt by Kate's accusation. Kate stared at him, slowly realizing what she said. "Howbout' losing 3 of my best friends while you were trying to land a big fat grant for your science project?" He insulted before stepping back and looking at both her and Demi. "Or having my 2 remaining friends running away like cowards and ditching the people that mattered most?"
