"Y/n! Come down for breakfast!" Daejeon called out, chewing on her jam bread. It was already 7 a.m.!
"One more minute!" Y/n shouted back as she hurriedly styled her hair.
She was dressed impeccably, wearing a black shirt with nude formal pants. Her accessories were perfectly matched: golden hoops, a chain watch, and a matching pair of heels. She adjusted her shirt and slung her office bag over her shoulder.
"Y/n, I'll be late for school, and you'll be late for your event!" Daejeon said again, sipping her milk. Y/n quickly took the stairs two at a time, hurrying down to join her.
Yoongi, wearing glasses and reading a newspaper, glanced up with a warm smile. His sweet fiancée lived with him and his sisters, adding a touch of joy to their home.
"Sorry, Daejeon. Get into the car; unnie will be here soon," Y/n said between bites of her pancakes drizzled with syrup. She quickly finished her breakfast as Yoongi's wife handed her a glass of orange juice.
Taking a sip, Y/n's sister-in-law offered a reassuring smile. "Y/n, you look so pretty today. And don't be nervous during your speech, okay?"
Y/n nodded, her nerves tingling with excitement and anxiety. "Okay! We're heading out now. Bye, Oppa. Take care, sister-in-law," she called out as she pulled Daejeon towards the car, her heart racing with anticipation.
While y/n was driving, daejeon looked at y/n with curiosity.
"Y/nnie, did you ever visit that horrible actor's graveyard? I mean, it's been two years," Daejeon asked, her teenage curiosity evident. At 13, she was mature enough to understand that Jungkook had only caused harm during his life.
Y/n froze, her grip tightening on the steering wheel as she struggled for words. The question struck a deep chord, but she quickly composed herself, determined to stay strong in front of Daejeon.
"Daejeon, we've arrived at your school. Best of luck on your exam!"
Y/n said with a forced smile as she parked the car.
"Bye, y/nnie. Love you!" Daejeon called out, giving Y/n a quick peck through the car window before darting towards her school, leaving Y/n alone with her turbulent thoughts.
She was lost in thought for a moment.
Everything in her life had changed. Y/n's grandparents had passed away, and now she was running two businesses. The first was her own clothing brand, a nod to her past as a fashion designer. The second was a new bakery shop, where she now spent most of her time. She had become a successful businesswoman, her life reshaped by these new ventures.
Everyone had moved on in their own way. Taehyung still reached out from time to time, always apologizing and begging for another chance. It was the same endless cycle with no finish line.
