"Here" Tyler said as he handed the guitar to Ben "do you remember the chords or do I need to go over them again" Tyler asked as he noticed Ashlyn staring at him. "What?" He asked

"You've been less of a jerk lately" she said and I chuckled

"Is that meant to be a complaint?"
"I dunno, I guess"

"Oh and half-wit" I said and he looked to me
"Thanks for teaching Ben to play happy birthday since he couldn't sing it." I thanked and he just nodded and Aiden spoke

"Yah and Amber you singing with Ben playing it was so amazing! You two are awesome!" Aiden praised and I smiled and looked to Ben

"But I didn't see you as a guitar type" ashlyn spoke again

"I'm not usually. Our dad taught me though. But whatever, how much time left" he said as we all looked to Logan

".. About 2 minutes" he spoke and I nodded as I sat down beside ashlyn and leaned against the window

"We're going to town right?" Aiden asked
"Yeah that's what Logan suggested" ashlyn spoke and the others all talked until I drifted off and fell asleep.

SHIFT

"Is the backup supplies ready?" Ashlyn asked and I double checked

"Yup were all set" I said and we all climbed into the Jeep, sadly the 3rd row seat hadn't stayed so j for in the trunk with Logan as I crouched by the window as Ashlyn talked with Aiden for a moment and he pressed the button and ran to the door and we drove out and honked and he bolted for the Jeep and closed the door before we drove off.

Logan and ashlyn talked for a moment as I perked my head out the window to spot some Phantoms and hot hit in the face with a tree limb which put a cut across my face.

"Damn it" I shrugged and we sat in silence for 30 boring minutes.

"Ash it's been 39 minutes can I 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 play some music or something.. " Aiden groaned and I was about to agree until ashlyn protested against the idea and I rolled my eyes

"Pass the school and take a right!" Logan told ashlyn and she nodded

"It's weird isn't it logan?" I asked and he looked at me

"Elaborate" he spoke back
"I mean the Phantoms thinned out a while ago and now there isn't a single one in sight." I said and he nodded before I spoke again.

"I don't feel right about all of this.."
