Terra-Man's ship landed with a thud in a hidden dock far from Metropolis, a sleek, high-tech vessel brimming with stolen alien technology. He strode down the ramp, his mind still reeling from the encounter with Cal and Kara. Anger coursed through him, and he swore he'd have his revenge.
As he entered his ship's main chamber, he was greeted by an unexpected sight. Standing in the middle of the room was a bald man in a pristine purple suit, his posture exuding confidence and arrogance. Terra-Man's eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"Who the hell are you?" he demanded, his hand already reaching for his weapon.
The bald man smiled, a cold, calculating expression. "I'd prefer if you didn't shoot at me, Mr. Manning. It would be quite a waste of your ammunition."
Ignoring the warning, Terra-Man fired a beam directly at the man. To his shock, the beam bounced harmlessly off an invisible forcefield. The man didn't even flinch.
"Impressive technology, isn't it?" the man said, his tone dripping with mockery. "I'm Lex Luthor. Perhaps you've heard of me?"
Terra-Man's eyes widened in recognition. "Luthor? The billionaire? What are you doing here?"
Luthor took a step forward, his smile growing colder. "I have a proposition for you, Terra-Man. You see, we both have a common enemy: Nighman. I can help you take care of him, permanently."
Terra-Man's suspicion didn't entirely fade. "And why would you want to help me? What's in it for you?"
Luthor's expression became serious. "Let's just say I have my own reasons for wanting Nighman out of the picture. In return for my help, I will require a favor from you. Nothing too drastic, but something I won't reveal just yet."
Terra-Man crossed his arms, considering the offer. He didn't trust Luthor, but he knew he couldn't take on Nighman and his new partner alone. And Luthor's resources could give him the edge he needed.
"Alright, Luthor," he said finally. "You’ve got a deal. But I warn you, double-cross me, and you'll regret it."
Luthor's smile returned, more sinister than before. "I assure you, Mr. Manning, our partnership will be mutually beneficial. Now, let's discuss our plan to deal with Nighman."
Over the next few hours, Luthor laid out his strategy. He had access to advanced weaponry and technology that could exploit Nighman's weaknesses. They would lure him into a trap, one from which he couldn't escape.
Terra-Man listened intently, his excitement growing with each detail. With Luthor's help, he was confident that Nighman would soon be nothing more than a memory.
As they finalized their plans, Luthor's mind was already working on his next move. He knew he could manipulate Terra-Man to do his bidding, and once Nighman was out of the way, nothing would stand in the way of his ambitions.
For now, though, he would play the role of ally, biding his time until the moment was right. Nighman would be eliminated, and the world would be his to control. He just had to be patient.
Cal adjusted his suit one last time, smoothing out the black and silver fabric with a steady hand. The six-sided star on his chest gleamed under the studio lights, a symbol of his resolve. Next to him, Kara, now proudly wearing her Superwoman attire, radiated confidence and strength. They were about to go live on the Daily Planet TV show, an interview hosted by none other than Lois Lane.
Lois, visibly pregnant but as sharp as ever, greeted them with a warm smile. "Welcome, Nighman and Superwoman. It's an honor to have you both here."
"Thank you, Lois. The honor is ours," he replied, his deep voice resonating through the studio.
The cameras rolled, and the interview began. Lois wasted no time diving into the pressing questions the public wanted answers to.
"Nighman, you've stepped into the role of Metropolis' protector after Superman's untimely death. How has that transition been for you?"
Cal took a moment, choosing his words carefully. "It's been challenging, Lois. Superman left behind enormous shoes to fill. But with the training and guidance I've received, I feel ready to uphold the legacy of Superman."
Lois nodded and turned to Kara. "Superwoman, you have quite a legacy yourself, being Superman's cousin. How have you adapted to life on Earth?"
Kara smiled, her blue eyes twinkling. "It's been an adjustment, for sure. But I've found strength in knowing that I'm carrying on my cousin's mission. Nighman has been an incredible help in my training, and together, we're determined to keep Metropolis safe."
"That's wonderful to hear," Lois said, her tone genuine. "Now, there have been rumors of increased criminal activity in Metropolis. How are you both addressing these threats?"
Cal leaned forward slightly. "We're aware of the uptick in criminal activity, and we're tackling it head-on. Recently, we've had encounters with some formidable foes, but we're ready. The people of Metropolis can rest assured that we're here to protect them."
Kara added, "Our training has been intense, and we're prepared for anything. We're also working on improving our coordination with local law enforcement and other heroes."
Lois shifted in her seat, her expression turning more serious. "Speaking of other heroes, what about your relationship with the Justice League? There have been reports of tension, particularly between you and Batman, Nighman."
Cal's jaw tightened slightly. "Batman and I have our differences, but we all share the same goal: protecting the world. My methods might be different, but I respect what he and the rest of the League are trying to achieve."
Kara placed a reassuring hand on Cal's arm. "We're open to working with the Justice League when necessary, but for now, we're focused on Metropolis."
Lois smiled, sensing the determination in their words. "Thank you both for sharing your thoughts. Before we wrap up, is there anything you'd like to say to the people of Metropolis?"
Cal turned to the camera, his expression resolute. "To the people of Metropolis: Know that you're not alone. Superwoman and I are here for you, just as Superman was. We will protect you, no matter the cost."
Kara nodded in agreement. "Stay strong, Metropolis. Together, we'll face whatever comes our way."
The interview concluded, and Lois thanked them both as the cameras stopped rolling. "You two were great," she said, smiling warmly. "The people needed to hear that."
Cal and Kara stood, both feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Thanks, Lois. This means a lot," Cal replied.
