Days had passed, and Cal found himself trapped in an anti-gravity field, surrounded by an unfamiliar form of kryptonite. He could feel it sapping his strength, leaving him weaker than he had ever been. Needles and wires pierced his skin, connected to various devices that monitored his every move and drained his abilities. Lex Luthor had been thorough in his testing, ensuring Cal had no means of escape.

Cal’s head pounded with a dull, constant pain. His body ached from the restraints and the invasive equipment. Every attempt to gather his strength was met with a surge of agony as the kryptonite intensified its grip on him. He couldn’t help but wonder why no one had come for him yet. The Justice League must have been searching, but Lex’s precautions had made him virtually invisible to them.

Lex, satisfied with the data he had gathered, no longer had any use for Nighman. He leaned back in his chair, a malevolent grin spreading across his face. The time had come to put his plan into action.

"Amazo," Lex called out, his voice echoing through the lab.

The golden robot stepped forward, ready to receive its instructions.

"Take Nighman to Metropolis. Dangle him over the Daily Planet building. Make sure everyone sees him," Lex ordered. "The heroes will come, and when they do, we’ll be ready."

Amazo nodded and moved to carry out Lex's command. It deactivated the anti-gravity field and lifted Cal's weakened body with ease. Cal barely registered the change in his surroundings as Amazo carried him out of LexCorp and into the sky.

In Metropolis, the citizens looked up in shock and horror as they saw Amazo hovering above the Daily Planet, holding a limp Nighman by the arm. Panic spread through the streets as people realized the gravity of the situation.

Meanwhile, in the Watchtower, the Justice League members gathered around the monitor, their faces etched with concern as they saw the live footage from Metropolis.

"Lex has Cal," Wonder Woman said, her voice filled with urgency. "We need to move now."

Superwoman clenched her fists, her eyes blazing with determination. "I'm going to save him," she declared, taking off without waiting for a plan.

The rest of the League followed suit, ready to confront whatever Lex had prepared for them.

As they approached the Daily Planet, they saw Amazo holding Cal high above the crowd. The robot's eyes glowed menacingly as it awaited the heroes’ arrival.

Superwoman was the first to reach them. "Let him go, Amazo!" she shouted, her voice resonating with authority.

Amazo turned its gaze towards her, its expression unreadable. "You are too late," it replied, its voice cold and mechanical. "Lex Luthor has no further use for him."

Without warning, Amazo dropped Cal, sending him plummeting towards the ground. Superwoman dove to catch him, her speed blurring her movements. She caught him just in time, cradling his weakened form as she landed.

"Cal, stay with me," she whispered, her heart breaking at the sight of his injuries.

The rest of the League surrounded Amazo, ready to take down the robot. But Lex's creation was prepared for them. It activated its defenses, replicating the powers it had absorbed from Nighman and Superwoman, making it a formidable opponent.

Wonder Woman, Batman, and the others engaged Amazo in a fierce battle. The robot's strength and abilities pushed them to their limits, but they fought with everything they had, determined to save their friend.

As the battle raged on, Lex watched from his hidden vantage point, a sinister smile on his face. His plan was unfolding perfectly, and he relished the chaos he had unleashed. But even in his moment of triumph, he couldn't shake the feeling that the Justice League would find a way to prevail. They always did.

Back on the ground, Superwoman held Cal close, her tears falling onto his battered face. "Stay with me, Cal. We’ll get you out of this," she promised, her voice trembling with emotion.

Cal's eyes fluttered open, and he managed a weak smile. "I'm not going anywhere," he whispered, finding strength in her presence.

Cal grew cold in Kara's arms, his breaths shallow and weak. The urgency in her eyes was mirrored by the tightness in her chest. She had never felt so helpless.

"Eradicator, help me!" Kara's voice echoed through the Fortress of Solitude as she landed, carrying Cal with the utmost care.

The Eradicator appeared, assessing the situation with a quick scan. "Bring him to the stasis chamber," it instructed, leading Kara to a chamber designed to preserve life in critical conditions.

As Cal was placed into the stasis chamber, the Eradicator began scanning his vitals and the extent of his injuries. Kara watched anxiously, her fists clenched in desperation.

"He is too weak to be given the serum again," the Eradicator announced, its tone devoid of emotion but filled with a gravity that sent a chill down Kara's spine.

"There has to be something we can do!" Kara yelled, her voice breaking. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she felt a desperate determination to save Cal.

The Eradicator paused, considering the options. "There is one possibility," it said finally. "You must go into the Phantom Zone."

"The Phantom Zone?" Kara's heart raced. "Why?"

"If you take a piece of kryptonite into the Phantom Zone, it will transform into Platinum Kryptonite within approximately one day. Platinum Kryptonite has a reverse effect on humans, granting them Kryptonian abilities," the Eradicator explained.

Kara's eyes widened with a mix of hope and fear. "And this will save Cal?"

The Eradicator nodded. "It should. The Kryptonian abilities granted by the Platinum Kryptonite will strengthen him and counteract the damage caused by Lex's experiments."

Kara took a deep breath, steeling herself for the task ahead. "I'll do it," she said firmly. "Tell me what I need to do."

The Eradicator provided her with a small shard of kryptonite in led box and the coordinates to the Phantom Zone portal within the Fortress. "Once you are in the Phantom Zone, time and space will be distorted. You must keep the kryptonite with you at all times and ensure it is exposed to the energies of the zone. After one day, it should transform."

Kara nodded, clutching the kryptonite shard tightly. "I'll be back as soon as I can," she promised, looking at Cal one last time before heading towards the portal.
