TPQ (Aru Shah) One Shots

Hiding

"Shah, what are you doing?" Aiden incredulously asked his girlfriend.

"Hiding." Aru was crouched behind Greg, the stone elephant at the entrance of the museum.

"From what?" asked Aiden.

"I will murder her when I find her," muttred Brynne, walking out of the kitchen. 

"Wow, slow down, Bee," said Aiden, stopping Brynne in her tracks. "What happened?" 

"Aru ate all the chocolate I was going to use for my The-most-legendary-of-legendary-chocolate-cakes!"

That's why she was hiding. Aiden rolled his eyes as everything clicked.

"She's not here, Bee," said Aiden, walking closer to Greg. 

"Just tell me when you find her, okay?" Brynne asked. 

"I will," Aiden said as Brynne stormed off to another exhibit in the museum.

"Thanks Wifey!" Aru exclaimed, getting up off the museum floor. 

Aiden rolled his eyes at the nickname. "Sure, Shah," 

"Y'know I thought you'd give me away," Aru said. 

Aiden smirked, "Anything for you, Shah." 

"Riiiiight,"said Aru. "Would you die for me though?" 

"I've already done that," said Aiden.

Aru felt a pang of guilt. She could never forget the sacrifice Aiden had made for her in the halls of Nidra.

"I lied, Aru," he'd said. "I don't regret anything."

The memory washed through her as she met Aiden's eyes.

"Everything's over, Aru," Aiden said, suddenly closer to her than he had been before. He brought a hand to her face. 

She looked up at him, "Sometimes it's hard to forget." 

"I know, Shah," said Aiden, bringing her face closer to his. "I know." He whispered, before kissing her.

"You know you two are adorable," someone said. Aru and Aiden quickly broke out of their kiss and looked at Brynne who was standing in front of them with a smirk on her face.

"But that doesn't change the fact you ate my chocolate, Aru!" 

 "I'm sorry, Bee!" said Aru. "It was chocolate! And very good chocolate, mind you." 

Brynne rolled her eyes. "Fine. But you owe me chocolate!" "And you," said Brynne, turning to Aiden. "You said that you'd bring her to me once you'd seen her!" 

Aiden was speechless. "Uh- I- uhm," Aru and Brynne howled with laughter, and Aiden rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
