CHAPTER SIX

"Kiaris is there something wrong with the sanctum?"

Lily asked a slightly calmed Kiaris, Sheila's hackles were already raised, as she seem ready to defend her sanctum.

"I didn't mean to scare you Lily, um well you girls just have to be careful"

Seeing Sheila's reaction made him rethink the warning he was about to give. He would just pretend to accidentally meet them and stay to keep an eye on things. Remembering the call he was suppose to make to his family back in the states, he looked at Lily as one would look at water in a desert, how he wish they had met under different circumstances.

"I have to go Lily, Sheila, thanks for receiving me, hope to see you again".

Looking at Kiaris as he picked the tip of his phone with his finger, Sheila wondered if she read the situation wrongly, was he interested in her after all? Did he want her number but was just too shy? Some men needs a lot of pushing before they make their move, grabbing his phone from his hand, she input her number and called herself  with his phone, in order to save his number.

"There now you have my number, you can Whatsapp me anytime, have a good night Mr Kiaris. "

Smiling to herself for achieving something good, she proceeded in serving the food to Lily who was looking on, with open mouth. Seeing as Kiaris was about to say something, Lily shook her head to stop him and smiled gently.

"Hope to see you again M..Mr Kiaris."

Hearing those words from her anti social best friend was so shocking that Sheila turned mouth open to look at Lily, who pretended not to see her shocked expression.

Hiding his smile Kiaris existed the room, leaving the two ladies in a Loud silence.

"What was that?"

Sheila asked still looking shocked, how can Lily want to still meet up with him, wasn't she anti social to begin with? Or......

"Lily do you like Kiaris? Like are you attracted to him?"

Even though she already knew the answer, Sheila still had a little hope that she had a chance with Kiaris .

"You are my best friend Sheila and I would not lie to you, yes I like him, there is this connection that I still can't even understand myself. I have never felt this way before"

Shelia took a slow bite from the sausage on her plate looking like she was equally slowly processing all the information she just received, sighing loudly she put down her fork and looked at Lily seriously for about twenty seconds, then smiled playfully, stood up and hugged Lily giving her a peck on the cheek.

"No one would be happier than me, that finally my best friend has a boyfriend, now we can talk Boys right?, tell me did you guys kiss while I was out there getting you these delicacies?"

seeing Sheila's playfully eyebrows lift, Lily gave out a breath she didn't even know she was holding.

"Oh Sheila you scared me? and its none of your business, I don't kiss and tell"

Laughing Lily quickly dodged the pillow that Sheila was about to hit Her with .

" No! that is not a girl code!"

Sheila gave a mock panic and dramatically held her chest in horror making Lily laugh loudly. seeing Lily's happy expression and free laughter eased up the feeling of being rejected even before making any move , oh well at least something good came out of this trip, Sheila thought, mirroring the exact thought of Lily that very moment.
