FATED

CHAPTER EIGHT

       Still holding the bags, they followed the instructor assigned to their group and they both entered the plain door leading to another building separated from the one they just exited. Seeing the atmosphere of the place was making Lily all kind of uneasy. To someone else this was a very serene and beautiful place, a place good for cultivating .But not for Lily she felt like she was having a bad case of heart burn, with her throat closing up and feeling a little tight.

"Are you okay Lil? do you want some water? here take a drink",

Kiaris handed her a bottle of water and then proceeded to gently rub the middle of her back in circular motions, soothing her heart burn instantly, making her immediately feel foolish for her little annoyance back there at the registration board.

"Thanks"

she replied quietly, thinking of ways to make peace without exposing her pettiness.

"Lily am sorry for what happened back there, I promise to tell you all about it, just not now, its just not the right time"

looking at Lily, Kiaris smiled and raised his palm like he was making a pledge.

" okay okay stop it, people are staring at us lets go before we are left behind God knows where."

As a resume walking, Kiaris begin to notice they were no longer in the connected building but from the direction and lighting it was probably underground, how far under they were he couldnt deduce as he got distracted talking to Lily.

"Are you okay?"

LIly asked as she noticed his serious focused look, if he was handsome before he was even way hotter now as he was in his serious mode.  

"Yeah, how far are we going to walk before we arrive our destination?"

He wasn't asking anyone in particular but that was the question in  the minds of the little group that was still yet to arrive their space, they started out as thirty in the group, but as they walk further, about ten were separated to a room, same thing was done after walking another ten minutes or so.

"Now am going to call five names if you are called, please go into this door and you will be directed by an instructor".

And so the instructor proceeded to call the names, but their names were not called and so they have to resume their walk down God knows where.

"At this rate we might as well be heading to hell"

sniffly her laugh Lily lightly punched his arm as she try not to laugh out loud.

"What  its true, you do know we are going downwards right?"

Though what Kiaris said and the tune of his grumbling sounded funny but it was concerning that they had been walking for a long time, how big was this place, what if there was a fire how do they escape from this place outside where its safer. Having this imagination began to trigger her claustrophobia, as her breathing started getting more shallow Lily held on tight to Kiaris's arm and not long after started feeling better.

"Here we are, you all will be residing here, go through this door and you will meet an instructor who will direct you. see you all after thirty days"

With that ominous parting words he shut the door after they entered the room. Turning around Lily noticed the room wasnt what she was expecting it was big, bright and equipped with different machines and equipments to ensure their comfort for the duration of their stay.

"Wow, are we in Harry Potter? cause this architectural skill is out of this world"

Lily commented as her eyes began taking in everything in the hall where the five of them was standing , excited, anxious , scared. filled with anticipation, waiting for the instructor, never knowing they were like sitting ducks exposed to unknown dangers lurking in the dark.
