Ch 4

Cherry's POV

I leave Jake with his friends so I can use the restroom, Sunoo said it would be up the stairs on the left with a sign on it. I do my business and wash my hands check myself in the mirror. I realize the scar above my heart is showing I almost panic wondering if anyone saw it. I lift my shirt up more to cover it again, damn surgery scares never go away. I try to walk towards the stairs but someone grabs me and drags me to another area. when we stop I see 2 girls. "Cherry right?" one of them ask I nod "your prettier then I expected" "who are you" I ask a little irritated "Caro, you know for some reason I thought you'd be carrying some kind of monitor or maybe have a personal nurse to help you" she says "I'm leaving" I say when I turn the other girl brings me back "I am just joking relax, Cherry" she puts her arm around me and moves me so I can see over the house railing to see everyone on the first floor down from us "Can I tell you something, Jake was my boyfriend once, matter of fact I was his first girlfriend, his first kiss his first everything mhm but I cheated and he found out and decided to leave me, I know deep down he regrets it" she says I roll my eyes "you see that girl down there that looks really drunk and depressed" I glance at the girl "that is Jake's latest victim, he played with her made her fall in love, slept with her then Jake dumped her, left her and pretends like he never even met her" "all of his friend group is like that each one of them, they do not share girls though like most groups though that's when my hypothesis comes in they are running out of girls to play with so they are finding new girls out side of school, therefore you, sooner or later you will end up like that depressed, helpless, not a single will to live" I push her off of me "your a bitch" she laughs "I am just warning you" "Cherry" I turn and see Jake "speaking of the devil" Caro says "Caro leave her alone, this better be the last time I see you around her" Jake says angrily "you brought her to me in my home" she says taking a sip from her drink.

Jake's POV
"we're going home" I say to the group holding Cherry's hand. Earlier Jungwon and Ni-Ki asked for a ride home because they are too drunk to drive. "give Jungwon a few minutes he's hooking up with some girl upstairs" Ni-Ki says this isn't the impression I wanted to leave my friends to Cherry but this truly how they are "we will wait in the car". I open the door for Cherry and we sit in the car after a few seconds of silence passes "I do not know what Caro told you, I do not want to force you to tell me if you do not want to but I know how she is, are you okay, I could care less if she said anything about me tell me the truth, are you okay" I ask looking in her saddened eyes she looks back into my eyes "Jake whatever she said does not matter to me what matters is if you prove her wrong". Ni-Ki and Jungwon get in the car "Jungwon was taking forever acting like he lasts more then 10 minutes" Ni-Ki says "I do you ass" Jungwon defends himself

I drop the 2 off at their homes and we make it to the hospital sneaking back in is much harder then sneaking out because at night its almost completely silent. we finally made it to her room I turn away from Cherry as she changes her clothes back to pajamas I close my eyes too "so what was your experience from going to a party and trying alcohol" I say "It was a lot of fun your friends are so funny, you all are so popular too I would say almost everyone stopped and said hi to you all" she says "I am happy you had a good experience" I say I hear Cherry go on her bed so I assume shes done I turn and see her laying down "you do not get scared sleeping here alone" I ask "a little but I am used to it" she says patting open area of her bed "come" she says and I go lay down next to her. she puts her head on my chest and I put my arms around her "you never told me why your name is Cherry" I say "Cherries were my moms favorite, she had everything of cherries my dad says she had Cherry dresses, hair pins, home decor she tried to incorporate cherries into everything.....a few minutes after my mom gave birth to me she lost a lot of blood and died so when they asked my dad what to name me he chose Cherry because he said my mom would have loved me just as much and more" "I am really sorry about your mom" I say holding one of her hands "It is okay" she says slowly letting sleep take over "don't leave, or just don't leave until I fall asleep please" she says "I promise I won't leave you"
