Ch 9

Jake's POV

"where the hell were you" my dad yells as soon as I get inside the house it is the next morning "he probably stayed in the hospital with that sick girl, Caro told us Jake she lives in a hospital how could you not tell us" my mom says "I do not need to tell you two anything" I say my mom slaps my face "we are your parents" she yells "parents do not neglect their children to work" I say "we work hard to give you this life Jake" my dad says "I did not ask you to, I would rather have present parents then absent ones" I say "I finally have someone fixing me even thought they weren't the one that broke me" I say before going to my room.

I enter Cherry's room and she immediately runs to hug me I kiss her "why didn't you go to school" she says smacking my shoulder playfully ''I didn't feel like it" I say she shakes her head. We sit together playing a board game "Jake do you want to take over your parents company" Cherry asks I shake my head "no, its what my parents want me to do" I say "what do you want to do" I look at her for a few seconds just thinking no one has ever asked me what I want to do. In my life everything is already planned for me I have no need to think of my own decisions "I do not know" I say "that is okay, you will figure it out" she says rubbing my hand.

"aww look they are touching hands"

We turn around and see the 6 idiots "how the hell did all of you get in here" I say "money talks" Jungwon says "you guys paid the hospital to let you all in" Cherry asks they nod sitting on the couches next to us "prom is in a few weeks we should get our tuxedos" Ni-Ki says they all start laughing "what's so funny" Cherry asks "we do not actually go to prom, we aren't much of the school spirit participators kind of group" Heeseung says "prom is for the good kids who get along with teachers and play sports" Sunghoon says "yeah we do not go to things like prom" Jay says "oh" Cherry says "Me and Cherry are going" I say they all stare emotionless "that is a very funny joke" Sunoo says "I am not joking" I say "Cherry wants to experience prom and I want to experience it with her" I say they all stare at each other "you all should go too"

A few weeks later
"I can not believe we are actually going to prom" Sunghoon says "shut up and help me with my tie" Jungwon says. We all met up at Jay's house to get dressed for prom. I guess you could say they all have a soft spot for Cherry so they are going to prom too because she offered them. "our ride is here" Sunoo says we all pile in the car and head for the hospital "do you think Cherry's friend Jia will want me if she sees me in this tuxedo" Heeseung says I roll my eyes.

I go get Cherry by myself so it wont be too obvious we're sneaking her out I enter her room and her jaw drops "Jake you looks amazing" she says "look at you in a tuxedo" Lottie says coming in the room "thank you two" I say "I couldn't help but know what's happening I saw you walk in all dressed up" Lottie says "we are going to prom but I am getting dressed at my home" Cherry says Lottie nods "well you two have fun take pictures"

I open the door for Cherry to get in "your telling me we have to wear tuxedos but Cherry can wear sweats and a hoodie to prom, very unfair" Ni-Ki says Cherry laughs. We all wait in Cherry's living room while she changes. "those are beautiful flowers, did Cherry choose them" Sunoo tells me I shake my head "I did, its a surprise for her" we hear steps coming from down the hall so we all go to see.

There she was in her dress, hair styled and makeup done, shyly smiling we all stand in awe "do I look pretty" she says breaking the silence "you look beautiful" I kiss her "ewww" "get a room" we both laugh and I give her the flowers "for me, Jake they are beautiful" she says and kisses my cheek.

Standing at the prom many people taking pictures, dancing, talking. "how much you all want to bet I can take Mrs. Lily home with me tonight" Jay says "isnt she like 45" Jungwon says "shes also married" Sunoo says "passion will over pass that" Jay says I roll my eyes. the night continues and we all dance. On our way to the car Jungwon had the idea to go to a lake.

We all take our jackets, ties off and Cherry takes her heals off and I gave her shoes to wear. Jay starts a small fire by the lake and Cherry sit on the ground by the fire with everyone I sit next to her as everyone talks looking at the fire I look at Cherry "what did you think you like prom" I ask "It was fine the movies definitely made it look more fun" she says. I realize she often compares real life things to movies, it is probably because most of her life she relied on movies to give her experiences she couldn't actually do. "I would say the same" I say

"lets jump into the water" Heeseung says they all start running towards the lake fully clothes and jumping in Cherry looks like she gonna run to the car so I quickly pick her up and make her jump into the water "oh my God" she yells smiling coming up from the water "my dress" Cherry says smacking my shoulder I laugh "I'll buy you a new one" I bring her closer to me as we all swim in the lake under the night sky.

Authors Note: I have been to prom multiple times because I live in the U.S, I can confirm prom is very boring. It was a good experience though.
