My eyes fluttered open as I woke up from my six hour slumber. Fuck. There's so much to do today, I just realized. The person who we found yesterday had refused to say anything we wanted to know, so we decided to try again today. But I honestly don't want to deal with that. I turned my head to see if Kai was still here. And he was.

I don't know what's going on with me right now. I've never been attracted to any guy but with Kai, it's different. He brings me a sort of comfort that no one else really can. He understands me and doesn't judge me for shit I've said or done. He sticks with me through it. I find comfort in his presence. Yesterday, I invited him over to watch a movie. It ended with us having another heated make out session and we went to bed.

I love kissing him. His mouth is so warm and it provides a warm feeling throughout my body when my lips are on his. Again, I don't know what feeling this is. But I love it, and I want it to continue. We don't go further than making out, but I would like to explore more. A pinging sound snapped me out of my imagination. It was Aurora asking if I was coming today.

I miss hanging with Little One but Antonio has Kai and I working our asses off. I only hope that the guy from last week talks or we'll find out no information. For context, it has been rumored that Santiago has planned to kill Aurora. We don't know if it's true or not but it has been talked about majorly in the underworld. But Antonio has been freaking out over it, which is understandable. I just hope he doesn't go over the edge.

I feel Kai stir from beside me. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He looked so cute this morning and he had just woken up. "Hey." He smiled. "We're here again now, huh?"

"Uh, yeah, I know." I chuckled, feeling a little
nervous. I never know how to deal with these things. "We gotta get up, though. We gotta talk to Frankie."

"Oh, yeah, sure." He replied. I nodded and got up, heading for the shower.

"Frankie!" I shouted. He turned his head to Kai and I and walked towards us. "Conversation. Now." I told him. He nodded his head and followed Kai and I to the office. Antonio was out receiving more information about Santiago. But in the meantime, I was determined to find out what I could from Frankie. When we got in the office, he sat down. "Any information?" I asked him.

"I recently befriended Cole. He seems pretty cool but he was very wary when I mentioned someone being on the inside. Like he was suspicious, kind of. I don't know if he just doesn't like talking about it, but it was really weird." He replied.

"So do you think he's worth looking at?" I asked him.

"I don't know, honestly. It's hard to answer that right now. Just give me a few more days." He said. Kai and I exchanged glances and nodded at each other, agreeing to give him more time.

"Don't let us down, Frankie." Kai said. "I wouldn't want you to regret it." He warned.

Frankie's eyes filled with worry after Kai warned him. He nodded. "I won't." He replied and walked out of the office. I looked at Kai. He just shrugged his shoulders. Antonio is already on edge, I wonder how long it will take until he blows up when he finds out that someone from the inside has been working with the enemy.

Aurora

I was sitting at the table downstairs, doing my classes on my new laptop Antonio had bought me last week. I was accepted into the local virtual-only college that I applied for when graduation was over. I was pleased when I saw that I had gotten accepted and was excited to get started with my classes. Of course, the classes were pretty difficult, but I know that with more time, I could get better and excel in all of them, hopefully.
