Enemies to Lovers: A Lawlight Fanfiction

Prologue

Light Yagami was an extremely gifted child. He got full grades in every subject, and every teacher loved him. He was extremely attractive. Even at the age of seven, he had tons of girls drooling at his feet. However, he never felt any attraction to either of them. He used to think that he was unlovable. But then one day, he was watching the tv when he thought that the lead actor was hot. He foolishly told his parents, "Mum, Dad, I think I like guys."

But he didn't know that his life would become hell after that. Soichiro was trembling with rage and Sachiko (sorry guys) looked disgusted. 

That's when the abuse started. Soichiro slapped him right across the face, which caused his cheek to start bleeding. Sachiko grabbed his hair and threw him out of their room and went to wash her hands as if Light carried some terrible disease. Light ran to his room, locked the door, and cried for hours. His parents did not feed him for a few days but he still sneaked some food. Light noticed his mom's belly getting bigger. He got the courage to ask, "Mom, a-are you p-pregnant?" 

"Ugh, don't talk to me, you faggot. And stay away from your unborn sister." 

Light felt depressed, thinking how he may never see his young sister. He sighed and went to his room. He took out a bag and packed his clothes. Then he sneaked to the kitchen to get some food. He grabbed his bag and his passport and went straight to the airport, planning to take a flight to England.

L Lawliet was a highly intelligent child. He was loved by his parents, who supported him for being gay. Sure, he had like zero social skills, and a very bad diet, but he could solve literally any case or a problem that was placed in front of him. However, one night, his parents got in a freak accident. No one survived. 

He and his younger brother, Beyond Birthday were left all alone, at the ages of seven and five. Since they could not survive alone, they decided to go live with their only living relative in England. They grabbed their packed bags and their passports and went straight to the airport to board a flight to England.

At the flight, L and Beyond were assigned a seat next to a boy around L's age. He seemed to be crying. While L was intelligent and anti social, Beyond was stupid and social. Beyond introduced himself to the boy and asked the boy the reason for his crying. He muttered, "Family issues"

L stared at the boy, instantly hating him, due to the fact that he had run away from home, hating his parents over a silly fight, though of course he did not know the real reason, while he had lost his parents. 

However, he didn't know how the tables will turn on him and what surprises life will offer...
