Enemies to Lovers: A Lawlight Fanfiction

"Ok happy now, Light?"
"Very."

L played Light's words in his head again and again. Was Light really happy to have L as his friend? I did seem like it. Was L happy? Well, Light could be a pain in the ass sometimes but these few days of friendship with Light have certainly been the best of his life. 

He was an equal to him. Someone with equal intelligence, mindset, way of seeing things which was so different from others. However, in some ways, Light was the exact opposite. His calm attitude, his social skills, his physique- everything was better than L's. 

Anyway, L and Light were just hanging out in their bedroom. Light asked, "Hey L. What do you do when you are bored?"

"Is that even a question? Take a guess."

Light chuckled. "Ok, you just eat sweets, or work on a stupid case, don't you?"

L pretended to gasp. "Light you got it all wrong! And I thought you knew me."

"Aw c'mon. Where did I go wrong?" Light was kinda disappointed, thinking that he actually didn't know anything about L.

"When I am bored, I eat sweets AND work on a case."

Light rolled his eyes, feeling relieved. "L, have you ever been out to get some fresh air?"

"Um... No?"

"You seriously never set a foot outside this orphanage in these 10 years????"

"Yea"

Light was shocked and angry at L. That fool just won't take care of his health. "Get ready. We are going out."

"Where?"

"Just get ready."

"But I basically have no other clothes."

"Ugh." Light opened L's closet and found only his oversized white t-shirts and faded blue baggy jeans piled high in a small corner. "L, why do you have only one sort of attire in your closet?"

"Because, I like them."

"Ughh, you're impossible."

"Hm. Love you too."

Light blushed. "W-What?" 

L realised that Light took this the wrong way. Quickly correcting himself he said, "I mean like a friend only."

"Oh." Light cleared his throat. "L stand up straight for a second please."

"Why?" Asked L being the infuriating bitch he was. 

"Because I want to see whether my clothes will fit you."

Now, it was L's turn to blush. "Huh?"

"Oh will you just stand up?"

"Fine."

Light handed him his best pair of black jeans, and a white shirt. "Go, put this on."

"Ok"

When L returned, he looked hot. With white Jordans, and the attire Light handed him, he looked simply fantastic.

"Now I need to do something about your hair."

Light smirked at L's terrified face and combed his hair. After he was done, L looked really handsome. 

"Wait for a while, I need to get ready too."

After about 30 minutes, they both set off to a nearby fancy cafe. The owner knew Light, who helped him out of a tight spot once, and didn't charge Light anything. Light introduced L to the owner and went to find a seat. L took a really long time looking at the menu, and ordered just a simple strawberry shortcake with a coffee.

Light rolled his eyes at L's too sweet order. Light ordered a cinnamon roll and a sandwich. While the former was eating his roll, L laughed.

"What?"

L just pointed to Light and said, "Cannibalism." laughing all the time.

"Huh?" Light looked closely at the cinnamon roll and realised what L meant. Widening his eyes, he put the roll back in the plate. "I ain't eating that now."

"What, Why? Light Yagami you will eat your roll."

"No"

"Do I have to shove it down your throat?"

Light smirked ,"Kinky."

"Oh My God Light!" Light laughed. L smiled a little too.
"C'mon let's go."

"Where?"  "Oh c'mon L. Just stand up."

They stood up and walked to the park. There a few children were playing not paying attention to anyone. L and Light just walked around the park in a comfortable silence. Light asked, "Did you like the fresh air?"

L took a deep breath, and raised his eyes to the sky which was glittered with millions of bright stars. "Yes, Light-kun. I enjoyed it"

Light watched L's eyes, which were reflecting the brilliant stars. He looked so... Relaxed. Peaceful. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it." he said with a small smile.

Suddenly a small girl, around 9 or 10 collided with Light. She gasped and said, "Oh, sir I'm so sorry. I hope you are not hurt."

Light smiled kindly and replied, "It's okay. I'm not hurt. What's your name?"

"Um.. I'm Sayu, sir. Sayu Yagami."
