LIAM

It's been two hours since Zella broke up with me over text.

The reason she had laid out was the article which I had taken down the minute I got to know about it, and that we shouldn't be together anymore because it's not good for our reputation and very risky.

Yeah fuck that.

I'm not letting her break up with me over something like that. If there's another reason for it or she got tired of me, she can just say that to me.

I throw my phone on the table when another call goes to her voicemail.

"Fuckkk!"

Grabbing a fist of my hair, I start pacing in my office.

"Maybe she wants space right now? You can try and call her later, maybe tomorrow?" Sage says, from where she's sitting on the chair.

"Yeah, just sit down for a while. You're making me feel dizzy." Matteo rubs his finger over his forehead.

Both of them look concerned over my state, after watching my lose my mind over Zella's text.

I sit back on my chair for their sakes, and clasp my hands on the table. "Alright, I'm seated. How is this going to help anything?"

Matteo purses his lips and shakes his head.

"Look, I can talk to her tomorrow if you want? I'll try to get her to talk to you, don't worry about this. Just give her some time for now," Sage pleads.

I sigh and mumble thankfully. "Yeah that would be great."

I don't think I'll be able to rest till I talk to Zella. I'm fucking losing my mind. I can't calm down.

I can't lose her.

The door to my office falls open, and Dina rushes inside.

I stand up quickly. "Did you talk to everyone and warn them about not posting anything about Zella?"

"Yes don't worry, everyone's warned. You don't have to worry about these types of post now. I also talked to Zella."

My head snaps up and I gape at her as sudden relief rushes into me.

"You did?"

Thank God, maybe I can call her now and maybe she'll finally pick up my ca-

"You don't have to worry about her now. It's over."

I pause.

"What do you mean?" My eyes narrow, and I just know she fucked something up.

Her eyes widen at my tone and she starts stammering. "I-I thought you would want to put a stop to this scandal, and that she was lying about dating you. You don't have to worry about her now."

"Why would she lie about that? And who told you to do this? I never asked any of this from you," I snap. I'm at the verge of my patience, and this seems to be what will snap the thread of it.
