M/N's POV

I hated whenever my father and mother want me to spend time with women they want me to marry whom I don't have any feelings for. And when I tried to focus on those who are with me of the female persuasion, I couldn't stop thinking about Slytherin Prince Draco Malfoy, my Housemate from Hogwarts. Going into our sixth year, I never wanted to tell him how I felt since I knew he was dealing with his own stuff. But this is the story of how I did just that and maybe more.

I sighed in the Slytherin Common Room over my Potions homework, not being able to get an ounce of it that I hadn't already learned and hoping someone would come and save me from boredom. Throwing my quil onto the table I was working on, I groaned, "Why does this topic have to be so bloody confusing?"

"What has you cussing out, M/N?" a silky smooth voice asked me from the other side of the vacant common room and making my back stand up straighter in fear. How the bloody fucking hell had I not heard the door opening?! Better yet, what door opened? I slowly turned around and saw Slytherin Prince Draco Malfoy staring at me with his signature smirk plastered on his perfect face, his body leaning against the doorframe to the men's dormitory and his black suit looking perfect. He cocked a platinum blonde eyebrow at me and asked again, "Did the Potions homework flip you off, M/N?"

I blushed despite myself as he pushed off the wall and headed toward me, his natural swagger exuding off of him like the most exquisite perfume I'd ever smelled in my life. Do you see why I can't stand women other than being their friend? This man was the only person for me romantically and he was standing before me without a care in the world for what my heart thought about him. Draco stood about two feet away from me and I replied, "That and I can't seem to figure out what Slughorn wants me to do with writing an essay on Felix Felicis when we haven't even made it! I mean, what's the point of writing a fucking essay before making a potion?"

Draco cocked an eyebrow at me and I handed him the parchment with Slughorn's assignment staring me in the fact. It might as well have been laughing at me because I got nothing for it to write down. I watched him read through the assignment before he told me, "I don't think this is an actual assignment, M/N. I mean, come on, do you honestly think Slughorn would make you write something like that?" He handed the parchment back to me and added, "You're the smartest guy in our year, let alone our House. There's no way Slughorn could stump you."

The blush that was on my face when he entered the room and I saw him only got bigger as I took the parchment back and put it on the table, hearing the chair next to me scrape and feeling Draco sitting next to me in that chair. Words almost flew out of my mind and I had to think before answering, "I-I wouldn't consider myself the smartest guy in our House. I think you hold that distinction over me." My eyes were staring at the table until I felt a hand take my left one. I looked up at my left hand, saw Draco's right hand over it, and my eyes met his green ones.

Draco's hand squeezed mine and pushed his fingers in mine, intertwining our hands and almost forcing me to look at him for however long he wanted. His free hand cupped my cheek, caressed it with his thumb, and Draco stated, "No, you're truly the smartest guy in our House, M/N. The only reason I'm as smart as I am is to get your attention." I leaned into his hand and he chuckled, adding, "That and I've wanted to talk to you since first year when I saw you."

"Y-You did? What about Pansy or Asteria?" I asked him, knowing those two bitches would be on him like stink on a griffin if they knew where their prince was. Draco didn't seem to care when he squeezed my hand and my heart hammered against my ribcage. I watched him lean towards me and I breathed, "I-I don't want to ruin you."

"You wouldn't ruin me, baby. If anything, I'm gonna ruin you," Draco grunted before our lips came together and my brain short-circuited. I couldn't figure out what to do other than kiss him back, letting my mouth mold against Draco's as I sighed into the best kiss of my entire life. Draco let go of my hand and put that hand on my other cheek, fully making me kiss him as he breathed against my lips, "Bloody hell. You know how long I've wanted to do that?" I couldn't form words, so Draco added, "Since I saw you at the Yule Ball in your dress robes. I've wanted to kiss you and save you from your date."

I breathed, "I've wanted to kiss you since the beginning of fourth year. God, you don't even know how many nights I've wanted to sneak into your bed and cuddle you." Draco chuckled again and I bucked up the courage to blurt out, "I love you, Draco Malfoy." And cue the dramatic ending. Draco's eyes were the size of saucers and he pulled away so he could fully look at me, nothing in his eyes that I could discern. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that and I couldn't stop myself from letting you know how I felt. You-You don't have to say anything back, I-."

Draco darted forward and crushed his lips to mine, almost knocking me out of my chair from the force he put behind it. His deft fingers wound into my hair and my hands went to his waist, craning my neck upward so I could get a better angle for the kiss. Draco pulled me to my full height and pulled our chests together, my arms fully wrapping around his waist and almost crushing him to me. He pulled away, our foreheads together, and the Slytherin Prince told me, "I've dreamed about you telling me you loved me for years, M/N. I love you too." I smiled from ear to ear and gently, chastely kissed his lips again. The assignment was forgotten for the time being, but I had a sneaky feeling there was some liquid luck coursing through my veins if my crush felt the same way I did. And I was so happy it did.
