I flew, directing my way, quickly bouncing against a rock and latching onto a trees highest peak, making my wings flap to a stop, the trees point leaning down slightly before I pushed off and flew into the sky again. A few large boulders were shot into the sky, It was a training method used with geysers. I switched the direction of my tail, easily avoiding the plundering dangers. Once the rocks had cleared I made a sharp u-turn; I landed by a set of dragons a few of them gave me eyes of congrats to passing the test.

I turned my gaze to the elder who was giving our class the knowledge. "You're a quick-thinker I will say that." He grumbled, swiping his scarred tail along the dirt. "You have improved since your training. The first day you were training you slammed into multiple rocks. I've seen wonderful progress, Comet. I am proud, as your parents must be." While he spoke his wrinkled eyes softened when praising my actions. "I will give notice to Elder Spark that you will be ready for soldier training next week. The day of full moon. Congratulations." He lowered his head lightly, "now that you have passed, I suggest taking all of your items from your area and returning it to your home."

I nodded and returned the gratitude, letting him place a necklace around me, it had a small  Nightfury scale on it. I smiled and departed the area with a mighty leap toward the sky, the grass spreading when the powerful winds under my wings sweeping around it.

I was grateful for such a gift and blessing of a wonderful teacher. I flew between the tall pines of the forest, challenging myself. I flew across large waters, seeing Scauldron's swimming alongside together. "They must be hunting, I'll have to stay far from the water." I told myself aloud and flew up a bit more, relaxing my wings and gliding a few feet below the clouds.

I detached my spine scales and shot a blue fire out, reaching into it. It cloaked me for a minute while I dove, arriving into the area of land, I kept flying until I reached a cave. Slowing down and safely landing inside it I looked over to my mother who was toasting fish with her breath.

She looked over, "You're here early." Her eyes drifted to the scale around my neck and immediately shot up and hopped toward me, she held it up, inspecting it. "I am so proud of you, my little star. Your father will want a celebration, you know how close he is to the future Elders that we're selected." I nodded, "Now that you will be joining the soldiers, dragons will tell you, you are not fit for the position. Prove them wrong, Comet. Prove them wrong." She smiled and I stretched my neck behind hers and she did the same.

Once my father had gotten home, my mother was correct, he would throw a celebration. As a gift he added a light fury tooth to my necklace in acceptance to my promotion. The future elders giving their blessings to me. I returned it by offering them the stories of certain small scars on my legs from training. They showed me similar ones and we gave good chats. They said they would look forward to seeing her become a high ranked night fury.

I helped my mother pick up some of the mess throughout and fix the grass seats before heading off to bed.
