Green To Yellow: Beware My Power

Chapter 6

     "We've searched almost all of Coast City's east side and still have found nothing that screams Atrocitus." Hal spoke with a low sigh as he and Sinestro hover over the city. Suddenly, the sounds of sirens began wailing down the street and catching both the Green Lanterns attention.

"If that doesn't sound like trouble then I'm unsure what does on this planet." Sinestro spoke as both Lanterns blasted off into the direction of where the sirens were rushing off to until they came up to the old Hand house which was full of giant holes in the roof and walls.

"He was B- Big! An- And LOUD! I thought he was going to kill us but he claimed he didn't even WANT US!" The Hand mother claimed as Hal landed beside the officer who was questioning her who immediately pulled out his gun, aiming it towards the lantern.

"WOAH! FREEZE! WHA- WHO ARE YOU?!" He questioned as Hal instinctively held up his hands.

"Easy now! I'm here to help, ok? I'm um.. A Green Lantern is what I'm- we're- um.." He started as Sinestro sighed, landing down beside the struggling hero.

"We are members of a corps titled The Green Lanterns. We protect all sectors in the universe such as this one, Earth. Sector 2814. There is a rouge and aggressive beast on the lose known as Atrocitus. We have reason to believe he came here in search of something and all we wish to do is help take him down and to the planet Ysmault where he belongs." Sinestro explained, confusing the poor officer.

"He went looking for my son, William Hand. My wife told him how he likes to go to the cemetery here and there and appointed this Atrocitus into that general direction. Please, save my boy." Mr. Hand spoke as Hal stepped forward holding out his hand to shake the worried father's hand.

"We will save your son, sir. I promise you that." Hal spoke with a smile before exchanging glanced looks with Sinestro and taking off into the skies to search for Atrocitus yet again but this time with a new lead to follow.

"So.. There appears to be not only one, but 2 of them.. That makes things so much more interesting.." Paralax spoke into Ivo's ear as they crept around the corner, watching the 2 Green Lanterns fly off into the distance.

"How so?" Ivo asked curiously as he approached his vehicle slowly to follow behind the flying Lanterns.

"Because, Anthony. If we can get to one of those 2 Lanterns, we can rid the entire corps, and world along with it, of hope entirely." He spoke determined as Ivo then started the engine of the car and began driving after the Lanterns to their destination.

"So, you want me to follow after them and then what?" Ivo questioned curiously as he drove up the street.

"Follow them to Atrocitus and allow them to fight. Once the battle is over and Atrocitus is defeated, we wait for one of the 2 Lanterns to become alone and we then swoop in and reveal to them our great power and give them it to conquer." Paralax explained as a slight grin crossed over Anthony's face.

     "This is Waller." Amanda spoke within the GCPD headquarters, overlooking a monitor revealing a map of Gotham City.

     "Ma'am. We have a problem in Coast City." One of her agents spoke over the line.

     "Did Professor Ivo complete his research on the alien we located down by the bay?" Waller questioned curiously.

     "In a matter of speaking- Yes, ma'am. But while doing so something changed in Ivo, giving him powers and making him nearly unstoppable. He killed almost everyone in the facility including Ivan." The agent spoke as Waller began gritting her teeth.
