"Hey, wait up!" Hal called out as William continued bolting through the cemetery and out across the street through passing cars as they beeped at him annoyed.

"HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" One of the drivers shouted angrily as Hal bolted up into the air to avoid the angered drivers to catch up with William.

"Do not stop for him, all he will want to do is lock you away from the world!" The voice exclaimed to William as he didn't look back at Hal, listening to the mysterious voice.

"Who- Who even are you?-" William questioned as he then quickly turned the corner, darting past a man on his bike who ended up toppling over and dropping all of his belongings as well.

"BRO! COME ON ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" The man exclaimed as Hal hover over the corner, watching William continue to bolt away down the road.

"I am Neckron, ruler of The Black Lamtern core, and you, are the herald of the core. I have sought you out, chosen you to carry out my mission! To bring me earth so I have the opportunity to destroy it." Neckron explained as William then turned and bolted down a nearby alleyway, only to discover the dead end that was awaiting for him.

"Crap-" He spoke softly before quickly turning around, but quickly stopping in his tracks as he saw Hal standing on the other end of the alleyway.

"Hey, calm down." Hal spoke softly as he slowly approached the young herald with his hands raised in the air to show he wasn't trying to hurt him. "I don't want to hurt you or anything like that I promise. The entire reason I chased after you was because I wanted to make sure you were ok is all." Hal explained as William's heart rate began to slow down slowly but surely.

"Yeah- Yeah I'm fine.." He muttered softly as Hal smiled slightly towards him.

"Good. He didn't hurt you did he? Only really scare you? Did he say anything?" He asked curiously as William thought for a moment, recalling what that monster had spoke to him. Saying how his insides were the doorway to blackness. Then he had thought of what Neckron had told him. How he was The Herald of The Black Lantern Corps. A small grin began to spread across William's face as he softly shook his head towards Hal.

"Nope! He hasn't hurt me nor had he told me anything. Can I go now?" He asked in a hurry as Hal nodded eagerly, stepping aside for him.

"Uh- Yeah, you totally can. As long as you're ok that's all that matters." He spoke softly as William then quickly rushed past Hal and out of the alleyway.

"So.. How does being The Herald to The Black Lantern Corps work necessarily?" He asked curiously as Neckron chuckled lightly, glad to know that William had accepted his calling.

"I can SMELL the anger and hatred from within you that is directed towards me." Atrocitus spoke with a soft chuckle followed afterwards.

"You killed my friend, Atrocitus. Give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't kill you where you lye." Sinestro spoke as Atrocitus grinned widely at the Green Lantern.

"Because it would go against everything you and your people stand for." He reminded as a maniacal laughter began arising from the distance, causing both lanterns to quickly turn their attention towards where Dr. Ivo was standing, slowly approaching the 2.

"Perhaps you're right, Atrocitus. Maybe it does indeed go against everything a GREEN Lantern vows to do, but who says he has to remain as a Green Lantern? Who says he TRULY is one deep down?" Parallax spoke through Ivo with a large grin across his face.

"That voice.. Why do I know that voice?.." Atrocitus questioned thinking to himself as Sinestro's curiosity grew.

"What do you mean, human?" Sinestro questioned, causing Parallax to chuckle more to himself.
