Primary was good, well maybe not for her. But we all ended it quite well. I still miss it; stress free and doing absolutely nothing. But as the saying goes all good things come to an end and unfortunately that had to be one of those things. We had to grow up.
Now don't you wish you could meet Peter pan and fly off to Neverland.
Secondary school was the the next chapter of our lives and what do you know, most of us ended up in the same secondary school anyway. We of course we're in different tutor groups. I was with Tammy Karter, thank god. I had known her since nursery too and we were very good friends.
At the time in year 7 Aliza and me were bestfriends. We stuck together and broke away from some of our old friends. We also made a new and old friend. Samantha rogers, she went to our primary school but we didn't speak much, I don't know why. She was innocent and nice and became another bestfriend of ours.
Secondary was scary and exciting. So many things happened. Lessons were either so boring or actually quite fun, I guess it mattered on what teacher you had.
Samantha and Aliza had a lot in common, I realised I didn't, and that I didn't really belong in their friendship group, so that's when I stopped being their bestfriend and became Tammy's bestfriend. But I was still close with them. Tammy was all about the fun, which is what I loved about her. She was the rebel, the naughty one who always got told off by the teachers and they would always tell me that she's a bad influence on me, but I didn't care and I didn't believe that.
The cool thing about Aliza is she would accompany me on crazy ideas I came up with, and without hesitation.
You see in yr 7 I would have double lesson of p.e on a Wednesday everyweek, so that's for like 2 hours in the morning and I'm a very lazy person who loathes p.e. So there was hell no way I was going to do 2 hours of p.e every week. Aliza wasn't in my p.e group she would have p.e on a different day. She would have a double lesson of technology when I had p.e.
I made a friend in p.e with a girl who hated it just as much as I did, her name was Maddison Taylor.
Maddison was very weird but nice. We became very good friends quickly. Did I mention she was also very violent. We would be abusive towards eachother physically, but don't worry it was just playful fighting, well for me it was. I guess we hated p.e so much we had to let out our anger on something. So every lesson we would mess about and do our best not to join in, but she made it fun and not completely like hell for me. May I just say our class was too damn sporty. Like they would act like as if it was the Olympics every lesson, which is why I hated it even more.
I hated it so much that I couldn't take it anymore, so one day I decided to stay at home for the first two lessons on a Wednesday, which by the way was p.e. I lied to my parents saying I didn't feel well and that I'll go later. My mum being the very nice women she is didn't mind. My dad is the strict kind so I didn't think he'd fall for it. But surprisingly he did, although he made sure I did go to school later on, he just didn't mind when I went. So that was my plan I would bunk all my p.e lessons at home.
Aliza and me would always go school together and come home together. But with me bunking she couldn't go school with me, eventually she gave up going to school on her own and didn't care, and so she started bunking with me.
She would call the school pretending to be her mum saying she had a doctor's appointment. It would work and she would be at my house bunking with me.
We continued bunking even in year 8. I'm surprised we didn't get caught in year 7. We had a different time table, so p.e was no longer in the morning. But we continued to bunk anyway and we didn't do it once a week we would do it 2 to 3 times a week. We would spend an hour at my house and an hour wondering around the area. So when it was break time in school, we would arrive. We felt it would be much safer to come in at break. So we continued to bunk.
Until one day, it was the middle of yr8 and I was in geography and our head of year came in saying she wanted to speak to me. "You and two other girls came in really late today and I want to talk about it so come to my office at lunch." Ms Jones said in a stern voice and walked away.
I was terrified, wondering what she wanted to talk about, and also wondering who the third girl was. So me and Aliza got caught bunking and our parents got called. We lied and said we only did it once, but in fact I have lost count because we bunked quite a lot. Still don't know who the third girl was, so that still remains a mystery.
Her mum really didn't like me after that. She made sure me and Aliza never went school and home together. Sometimes we would secretly go home together. Yep that's how bad it was, it was like romeo and Juliet, but not to do with love, more to do with friendship. Anyway, Eventually things died down and we were back to normal but we never bunked again, so we learnt our lesson.
We would do so many other crazy things together, if we weren't bunking then we'd be trying our best to come up with good excuses to go home and they'd work. Wow we really didn't like school back then. Guess things changed huh. But I don't regret doing any of that. It was fun. And I'm sure Aliza doesn't regret it either.
