The next day passes as usual. Eve goes to her classes and avoids talking to people. Danny goes to his classes and socializes with everyone. Lunch is the only time they see each other that day, and Eve has been waiting nervously all morning. Worrying about if he'll tell anyone about their late night chat.

When lunch time finally come's Eve's stomach is turning itself into a series of knots, but she ignores them and enters the cafeteria. She walks to the lunch line and gets chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes, her favorite. Her mood lifts a little! She walks to her usual table and waits for Gemma to arrive. As she's sitting there, happily eating her potatoes, Evan walks by. He's the head of the football team, but mostly he's just a giant pain in the ass. He walks by and says, "Hey mother! Thanks for giving me such a WONDERFUL life!" Then he walks away, over to Danny. Probably to gloat about what he's done because if he's not being an ass, he's being a suck up.

But when he gets there Danny looking at him angrily. And as Evan talks, Danny's face goes from bad to worse. They start arguing but Eve's to far away to hear why. Though they do keep looking over at her. Eventually Evan stomps off and everyone else sits down in an awkward silence.

Gemma walks up to the table, or rather, jogs. "OH! MY! GOD!!!!!" She says, a little out of breathe. "Did you see that?"

"What?"

"Danny!! He just totally put Evan in his place!!"

"What happened?" Eve asked, still not knowing what the argument had been about.

"I only heard the end of it. But Danny and Evan were arguing about how Evan should stop teasing someone, and he said, and I quote!! 'It's really immature and you have no idea what people are going through! So just stop! It's not cool man! It's wrong!' And then Evan just stared dumbfounded and then walked away!!!! I wanted to jump up and down!!! Evan is such an asshole! He needed to be told that!! Danny is so cool!!" She was smiling like a child on Christmas. But Eve wasn't paying attention anymore. She was looking at Danny, realization dawning. He just sat there, eating his chicken nuggets.
