Eve's is leaning on the kitchen counter when Danny gets home from practice. The apology notes from the boys sitting open on the table. He walks in and puts his bag down, coming into the kitchen. His eyes go to the notes and she searches his expression for any sign of emotion. Nothing!
"What's up?" He asks, taking a seat.
Eve pushes off the counter. "I know what you did!" She comes to stand by the table.
"And what did I do?" His innocent look is adorable, but she knows better.
"You! You! You fucking let them go!" She tries to hold it together but she can't. "They walked up to me this afternoon and gave me these notes! You didn't beat them up! They were completely untouched! Not a scratch on them!" She's shaking her head, still not believing it herself.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaand?"
"AND? AND? AND...why?!? You were gonna beat the crap out of them! I know you wanted to! Why didn't you?!"
"Because," he says, as if it's an answer. He stands up and walks to her.
"Because why? They beat YOU up?"
"And?"
"And you didn't do anything!?! WHY?!?"
"You didn't want me too, and I didn't want to beat their asses if you were just going to be mad at me about it!"
She still didn't understand, "But..."
"EVE!" He cups her face gently and presses his forehead to hers. He stares into her eyes as he says,
"I could throw 1 hundred punches! And start 1 thousand fights! But what's the point if you're not happy?" He takes a deep breath before he continues. "For you, I would hold back 1 million punches! For you I would stay out of 1 billion fights! I would do anything you ask me to and more! Because I love you Eve! I love you! And there is nothing anybody can do to change that!"
