Later that night Danny couldn't sleep. So he went to the kitchen for a glass of water. Just as he was about to head back to his room he heard a BANG! Followed by FUCK! And then Eve came running into the kitchen. She froze the second she saw him.
"What the fuck was that?" He asked.
"Uhhh... nothing. There's just a spider or something... in my bed. It's fine!'
"No way!" He said, a smirk on his face.
"What?" She gave him a skeptical look.
"You're afraid!?! Of a tiny spider!?! HAHAHAHAHAAH!!" He was laughing so hard he had to put his water down.
"Hey!" She yelled, "Spiders are freaky ok! They've got too many legs and eyes and they're hairy as fuck!! Its creepy!!"
"Yeah but you're like, fifty times bigger than it!"
"Ok, if you're so tough you kill it!" She tells him. He pauses.
"I'm good."
She smirks. "You're afraid!"
"I am not! I just, don't like... killing bugs." He whispers the last part.
Eve laughs, "Yeah right!"
Danny rolls his eyes and walks away. "Whatever, have fun sleeping on the couch!"
"We don't have a couch." She says. He stops, and turns back to her.
"What? Then were are you going to sleep??"
"The floor."
"The floor?!?" He stares at her in disbelief.
"Yes the FLOOR! Why is that so hard to believe?"
"Well, isn't there another bed?"
"Uhh, yeah! You're sleeping in it!"
He gives her a funny look.
"What?" She says.
"I get it now!"
"You get what?!" She looks around in confusion, like maybe the answer is on the wall somewhere.
"If you wanted to sleep with me you should have just said so!"
"Excuse me?!?!" She shouts.
"That's what you want isn't it? Because I told Evan to leave you alone you think I'm amazing and you want to sleep with me! I get it!"
"You are so arrogant! Fuck no! Is that what you think? That just because you don't go around being an ass girls are smitten with you?!?!"
"Well, in my experience, they are, even when I am an ass." He gives her a contemplating look. "Though I'm starting to think that's not the case with you."
"You think?!?" She turns to the cabinets with an eye role and grabs a water glass. Danny walks up behind her until her back is nearly pressed against his chest. If she leaned back right now they would be touching. She is overly aware of this.
"Actually," He says, his mouth right next to her ear. "I think you like me a lot more than you want to. I think, that deep down, you actually don't mind my presence, you actually... like it!"
"And what," She says, her hand tight around the glass in her hand. "Would make you think that?"
"Well," He replies, taking another step forward so now her back was pressed against him. "For one thing, you haven't told anyone about my panic attacks. Which means you don't want to lose my trust. And, that glass in your hand looks like its being strangled to death."
She froze, glass still in hand, but she loosened her grip.
"Or maybe you're right!" He says cheerfully, taking a step back. "Maybe I am just an arrogant ass! Who knows! Good night Eve! See you in the morning!"
"Night." She replied meekly, as he went of to his room and shut the door.

In the early hours of the morning Danny got up to go to the bathroom and nearly tripped on a large lump on the floor. After further inspection he realized it was Eve. He picked her up and carefully carried her to his bed. He placed her gently in it and tucked the covers up over her. After going the bathroom he curled up on the floor right besides the bed, it was immensely uncomfortable but he didn't care.
