Liam now Shadow followed the boys, she stared at them from the shadows calculating their every move, "You are such a worthless good for nothing, bitch!!!" the boys taunted the quiet girl. Shadow was irritated until she heard a boy say "Rina, a crybaby like you has no use on this planet, you should just kill yourself. No one will notice!!" That enraged Shadow. All Rina could do was stay still and cry as the words ripped her apart. Shadow pulled the knives that were holding her hair up. And gripped them as she counted the boys and knives. Shadow aimed at the boys and threw it at them. Shadow smirked as she noticed their bodies instantly decomposing. Rina noticed them slowly decomposing and started feeling awfully relieved. She felt scared but free, she felt so liberated! But guilty. Soon they were just ashes that fell to the grass and mixed with the soil. Rina wiped her tears and turned around. She felt so free! Which made her smile but she held guilt in her mind. And she started to skip happily. Meanwhile, Shadow changed back to Liam. Liam walked back home, and when she arrived her mom was standing in the living room right in front of the door holding a box of very light peach hearing aids with a big smile. "Surpr-" Liam's mother said faintly right before she collapsed. The box of hearing aids fell to the floor but that was the least of Liam's concerns. Liam ran to her mother and carried her to a nearby hospital. When she stepped through the tainted glass doors she had a horrible feeling. Liam looked around and noticed there only were Women at the hospital. "Why are there only women in a generalized hospital?! And when men come what happens to them??" Liam thought to herself. Liam continued to the front desk greeted by a young woman with dark brown super messy hair with bangs that covered half of her face and she had huge and extremely dark eye bags. Her expression seemed extremely sad. When she noticed Liam carrying her mother she immediately clicked a green lit-up button and stood up. She ran up to Liam and helped her with her mom. "S-so w-what h_appened!?" She asked with a mournful tone. Liam was confused, as the woman took her pulse. Liam whistled to get the woman's attention and pointed at a pocket in her school jacket with her eyes, the woman confused followed Liam's eyes, she then noticed and she got Liam's phone from her pocket. "This?" She asked confused while raising Liam's phone. Liam nodded, and the woman handed her the phone. Liam got it and opened an accessibility app for people with disabilities, Speech-to-text. Suddenly a door opening made the lady jump and her expression got sadder with a hint of fear, the woman froze. "Hi! I am Doctor Samuel!" said the doctor, he was an old man who gave off weird vibes. When he saw Liam carrying his mother he blushed slightly and told her "Come to my office, and lay her down immediately!" Liam nodded and stood up with her mother, the lady put her finger on Liam's back and spelled out be careful. Liam looked back at her quickly and nodded. She followed the doctor to his office. Liam then laid her mother's unconscious body on the bed gently. The doctor watched Liam all the time, then he asked "Can you please leave the room???" Liam was startled and looked at him, she shook her head and responded "Sorry but she's unconscious, so how will she know what she needs???" Deep down that was only a piece of her reason not to leave, but the whole truth was that she didn't want to leave her unconscious mom with a creepy stranger who she had been warned to be careful around. The doctor responded "O-oh I...see, I just get nervous with people watching me work..." Liam nodded as she thought to herself "He thinks I believe such a poor excuse?! I've seen better liars...." Liam stood in a corner of the room watching the doctor examine her mother. After a while, Doctor Samuel said "Her disease is only getting worse..and there is no known cure to it, you can treat her with a bunch of vitamins to strengthen her, the most recommended one is V+" Liam nodded and watched the doctor inject something into her mom. Liam was going to ask him what that was but got distracted when she noticed her mother had immediately woken up. Liam saw that the doctor's face was extremely pink, which bothered her and made her feel uneasy. She said farewell to him and took her mom to a pharmacy near her house. When they entered, she scanned the place. It was worn out and very isolated with barely any medications, Liam only lasted 10 minutes looking for the vitamin V+. She instantly left, and Liam and her mother walked home, Liam was still worried about the doctor's situation, but her mother noticed and signed "My little Astra, what's bothering you?" Liam startled answered, "Well...that doctor made me uneasy......" Her mother's expression softened as she hugged Liam while signing "It's ok my dear!! That's why we have each other, right!!!" Liam smiled and nodded. When they arrived home, Liam's mother laid on her bed and then she headed to her kitchen to prepare tea for her mom, Liam then gave it to her mother. "Liam, I am truly sorry......I must've ruined the surprise for you_" Liam's mother signed. Liam stared at her mother blankly and then remembered "Ohhhhh it's ok! Don't worry! I am the one who should apologize, 'cause I may have forgotten!" Liam responded embarrassed, they looked at each other and laughed for a while. Liam walked out of the room into the living room and stared at the box of hearing aids on the floor, Liam picked them up and put them on. Then she went to the kitchen and cooked soup, then she served her mom and herself. Liam picked up both plates and gave one to her mom. When Liam and her mom were both done eating Liam broke the silence by asking "Mom do my nightmares mean anything?? Why are they so horrendous and explicit??" Liam's mother acted like she couldn't understand and she stared at Liam. "....My dear,.....I perceive.....I won't last more than 1 day,...but..never forget the meaning.........of....an Astra...." Liam's mother said softly as tears ran down her face. Liam was teary as her mom said "Astra means Star...which symbolizes not giving up, ever." Liam was confused but her mother's words made her cry. Liam's mother wiped her tears, and Liam, embraced her mom crying once again as she said "I'll miss you,....mom.." Liam's mother embraced her back and said "I'll watch over you, my Astra..." while crying.
