"Stay here like a good pup."

Chaos says to Landon, who looks at him with an expression of pure annoyance, a chain of some sort, which is emmiting a yellow glow, around one of his front paws.

'How much longer is he gonna drag me around like this? I am sick of this guy."

Landon thinks, ears flat against his head.

"Escaping has no use. There are three guards, and you have a chain on, so don't even try it."

Chaos says, three Shadow wolves sitting behind him, none of them looking particularly happy.

'Like I would. What can I do in such a position? With their stupid inventions, one day I WILL get away from that annoying bastard.'

Landon thinks, digging his claws into the ground below him.

Many miles away, on a dark road, Matt, Ruuza, Kala, Lunar and Mutt walk, heading toward the Sand Village to rest for a while.

Above them, in one of the bone-like trees, a lizard with a colour palete similar to Mutts' own screeches, causing Mutt to whimper.

"What's the matter?"

Matt asks him, fatherly concern overpowering his mistrust of Mutt for a few moments.

"I just don't like this place."

Mutt says.

"Don't tell me you're afraid."

Ruuza teases. Lunar rolls his eyes at his little sister, a soft, affectionate smile on his face.

"I'm not!"

Mutt retaliates, not wanting to seem weak in front of Matt, not with how he's been acting.

"They have a point Matt. This road is a bit dangerous."

Kala says, agreeing with Mutt.

"This is the fastest way to the Sand Village."

Matt says, half turned to look at his Mate.

"You're right! I can't wait to take a break there."

Kala says, her eyes lighting up.

"Oh, I've never been to a city before, as far as I know. Have we, Lunar?"

She asks her older brother, who knows more about their puphood before Matt and Kala than her at the moment.

"Nope. Our birth parents didn't like crowded spaces like cities. They preferred the small village we were born in. Maybe one day, I'll take you there. Maybe."

He says the last word with a stern voice. Ruuza nods, understanding her brothers' meaning. If she pushes it, he won't take her there.

"It's only for a day, no longer."

Matt says, smiling at his daughter.

"Let's go then."

Kala says, eyes bright.

Many miles away, on a mountain, Chaos walks, heading to a meeting with his Boss and other pack leaders, his claws clicking on the stone floor.

"Who goes there?"

Asks one of the Shadow wolves guarding at the entrance. As soon as the guard sees who it is, they gasp.

"Chaos! Please enter."

He does so, and upon entering the meeting cave, his Boss says,

"'Chaos, you have come. That's good.'"
