Chapter 42

*Jack POV*

Lex went downstairs to make breakfast so I thought it would be a good time to call my dad. I found the piece of paper with his number on it and began typing it on my phone.

(Convo: j=jack ---- jd= jacks dad)

Jd: hello who it this?

J: um th-this is Jack

Jd: oh hi Jack how you doing son?

J: um I was wondering if we could meet up sometime tomorrow i-if you wanted to

Jd: yes, yea that would be great. um meet me at 5:00 at 'the cookout' restaurant if that's okay with you

J: um ye-yea that's cool

Jd: and bring Alex too is she wants to come

J: I'll see bye

END OF CONVERSATION

Before he could say by I had already hung up the phone. Don't get it twisted I am still pissed off at my dad but I am doing this for Lex. I know this would make her really happy. I was interrupted from my thoughts when I heard at knock on the door by Johnson.

"Hey man I heard the conversation you had with your dad."

Johnson was the only person I really let all my emotions out about my dad. He knows how much I despise him and he was always there for me when my dad left.

"Yea it's some pretty crazy shit." I said.

"So... are you still mad at him?" he questioned sitting down on my bed.

"To be honest, I don't even know. I mean I originally did this for Lex but I think I kinda want a relationship with him."

"That's good for you man. I'm happy for you."

"Thanks."

"Yea but I have to meet up with Cynthia so I'll see y later man." Johnson said walking out my room.

*Later that day*
*ALEX POV*

"Hey babe." I heard Jack call from upstairs. I quickly went upstairs to our bedroom.

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked curiously.

"Nothin I just wanted to talk to you."

"Ok what about?"

"Well I talked to my dad and I am suppose to meet him somewhere tomorrow and I really want you to come with."

"Oh my gosh Jack that's great for you baby, and of course I'll come with you." I hugged him.

"Thanks it's just I really don't know how this is gonna go and I don't know I guess I'm still pretty mad at him." Jack said looking down.

"Hey look at me its okay to still be mad okay just don't do anything you'll regret in the future tomorrow okay?"

"Yea ok I love you Alex Lanson."

"And I love you Jack Gilinsky."
