Magolor trudges through the snow and purple goop in the area sleepily nodding his head back and forth in this land called Locandra. That's the only piece of information Magolor got when looking at the hundreds of books back at the old building. He was in a bad mood; he had wasted his time and sleep, and Susie didn't make him feel better about it at all than again, he hadn't told her about his little exploration and planned to keep it that way. Then again, she could at least try to be less annoying as Susie had been making poses and trying to kill enemies with her swords that she collected inside the house, she even got a holster for her grey gun and wore Magolor's grey worn out cape to complete the look. Magolor had never tried to use a sword but even he knew it was inefficient to try to slice enemies like that as it took her multiple tries to hurt a creature before it actually died.
"Susie, why are you even trying to master weapons when this journey is almost over?"
"Just use your gun instead, it's an easy one shot kill when dealing with enemies."
Magolor tried to make himself sound smart and sophisticated when giving her advice but it just sounded like he was angry due to how tired he was and Susie just rolled her eyes at him as per usual.
"Well, when you use your powers, you have variety right? Black holes, spheres of energy balls and other powers that are kept away from you due to the restrictions of the gem apples."
"And since I don't have powers, I want to incorporate that in my fighting style! I'm usually supporting you off in the distance as it takes time to aim my gun so this time, I want to fight up close!"
Susie says as she looks at Magolor, hoping for a reaction or something to come out of his mouth but he says nothing, he almost looks like he's zoning out, not listening to her conversation in the slightest. Susie put her sword in her holster and flicks him on the forehead and he looks around quickly, taking a few steps back as he looks up and down as Susie. His ears perk down realizing it's not an enemy and walks right past her, having a shield up so if enemies were to fight the shield would just zap them.
Susie is shocked, usually Magolor wouldn't ignore her for this long unless he got mad at her...?No, it couldn't be, they had such a fun time talking back at the building, though she had an idea in mind on why Magolor could be mad, but she wished it wasn't true.
Was it because Susie was useless? I mean she fixed his wounds, gave him feedback on when he was being a dummy and tried killing enemies. Well, she tried to, it was just so hard because Magolor was so much stronger than her, even when he wasn't trying, but this time he was exhausted! This was her chance to be useful, she looked down at her weapon and back at Magolor and gripped her sword tightly, the real reason she got this sword is that she didn't want to be left behind and be useless, no not again she said, reminiscing Magolor in bandages, even thinking about it made her sad.
So, she just followed him throughout the levels, Susie slashing the enemies will all her might and but it seemed like the shield was doing most of the work, killing more enemies compared to her, she stopped walking and she stood still as she looked down at a puddle of herself she felt like a failure but she was sure that maybe if she addressed this to Magolor that she'd feel somewhat better. Even if Magolor was mad at her for being so weak, he'd say it in a nice way, they were friends after all.
So, she tried to yell at Magolor to stop walking but he continued onward so she decided to yell at the top of her lungs, she may not have a mouth, but she was going to get Magolor to hear her one way or another.
"Magolor listen to me when I speak! Do you hate me that much that when I try talking to you, you just suddenly ignore me!?"
"Well then don't come back to me when I become famous for my fighting style, everyone will know the name Susanna and you'll be left in the dust, discarded with no one caring for you!"
