Chapter Twelve - Hook Man
"You will not be doing Jello shots off my semi-naked body."
"Stop," I said, pinching Dean's nipple through his black shirt.
He jumped. "What the hell?"
"You keep nudging my leg, stop."
"You're half-caf, double vanilla latte is getting cold over here, Francis," Dean said, chuckling as Sam rejoined us at the table outside of the coffee shop. He looked back down at the notepad on the table by the laptop he had open before him.
"Bite me." Sam sat down.
"So anything?"
"I had them check the FBI missing persons data bank, no John Does fitting dad's description," Sam explained. "I even ran his plates for traffic violations."
"Well, if Dean got his horrible driving kills from his father, then that would've been your best bet," I said.
"I'm an amazing driver, thank you very much," Dean told me.
"Mm-hm, and I'm blonde."
"Who says you're not? You sure you're a natural redhead? Witches tend to be liars."
"Fuck off." I shoved his shoulder.
"Anyway, I'm tell you, Sam, I don't think Dad wants to be found," Dean said. "Check this out. A headline out of Plaines Courier. Iowa. It's only about a hundred miles from here."
"'The mutilated body was found near the victims car, parked on Nine Mile Road,'" Sam reads.
"Keep reading," Dean told him.
"Authorities are unable to provide a realistic description of the killer. The sole eyewitness—whose name has been withheld—is quoted as saying the attack was invisible.'"
"So two teenagers were drinking or getting high and copping a feel, then got freaked out when somebody accidently died." I shrugged. "Why the hell is that your problem?"
