Chapter Thirty-One - Hell House
"I will light you on fire and chop your dicks off."
When I glanced back over at our table to see a woman chatting Dean up, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I mean, we were official now. He had openly said the word girlfriend in front of his father.
Which, first of all, was not his thing. It took me all of five seconds from the first time I laid eyes on him to realize that. Second of all, Sam had told me about him. Dean jumped from woman to woman, bed to bed without much care.
But he said I was his girlfriend.
The thought made a sick, lonely part of me giddy.
So I turned back to the bar, waiting for the drinks I had ordered. Surely, he'd realize she was flirting with him and tell her to back off.
It was late and I was already five drinks deep. I had lost all patience long ago if that didn't happen.
I tapped my fingers against the bar, humming under my breath.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I faintly heard Dean's voice as it grew louder.
Seconds later, I was tapped on the shoulder. I turned to find the girl who had been hitting on Dean standing there. She had a smug look on her face and curled blonde hair falling down her shoulders.
"Hi," I offered, eyes drifting over her shoulder to Dean.
"Hi." She smiled, though it wasn't kind. "Listen." She wrapped an arm around my shoulder and I caught sight of the wedding ring on her left finger. "So I'm gonna take your man home with me. And he'll tell you all about our night together tomorrow." She winked at me.
I nodded my head, taking a step back.
The next thing I know, my fist connects with her face and she stumbled back.
Seconds later, a sharp pain rocketed through my jaw before I was hauled backwards by a strong arm.
"The fuck are you doing?" Dean asked, dragging me away as I fought against him.
"Let me go!" I stomped on his foot. "She can't have the last hit."
"Calm down."
"Don't tell me to calm down!" I jabbed my elbow back into his ribs and he jerked away.
"You'll get arrested!"
I got one more punch in before security was hauling me away. A tall man with a hand wrapped tightly around my arm. His grip was strong enough to bruise, but what hurt worse was when he wrapped an arm around my waist, arm pressing uncomfortably into the large cut that I had gotten from a recent hunt.
I yelped in pain, trying to squirm out of his grip.
Then suddenly the grip went lax. I spun around to find that Dean had punched the security guard, knocking him out cold.
