Heather's POV

✧ • — • ✧

Tuesday // 5:34pm

It's been three days since the night I hooked up with Maeve and I still couldn't shake her off my mind. Something about her just felt so different. Despite the amazing night we had, she still had me craving for more. I knew I wanted her. I needed more of her so badly.

"Jaaaannniiii" Juli, who was yet again in my dorm wailed. I winced upon hearing her voice that shook me off my thoughts.

Tangina, nakalunok ata 'to ng loud speaker nung bata pa siya eh. Tapos na stuck sa lalamunan niya.

We were at my dorm. Kakatapos lang ng classes namin, and before we went back here, we checked yesterday's exam results. Juli was devastated to see that she ranked only 6th out of 219 students. Sanay kasi siyang palagi pasok top 3. But if I had to be honest, na shock din ako. Juli was really smart kasi, so ranking down was very unusual for her.

"Hindi ko 'to tanggap!" Her whines were muffled as she buried her head in my pillow while I patted her back.
"Bawi next time Juls, di pa naman huli ang lahat."
"Kasalanan kasi 'to nung babae na nakilala ko sa bar eh!" She exclaimed.
"Huh? Sinong babae?" I asked.

Pinagsasabi neto? So may nakilala pala talaga siya?

"Well, remember when you took me to the bar sa pobla last Saturday? I met someone. I kissed her-" My eyes widened in surprise when I heard that but before I was about to say something inunahan ako ni Juli. "But lasing ako non ha!" She pouted.
"Sure." I sarcastically replied.
Juli rolled her eyes playfully. "The thing is, I couldn't stop thinking about her kaya di ako maka focus study. So kasalanan niya!"
"Siya pa talaga yung may kasalanan ha? Sabihin mo nalang kasi hindi ka maka-focus sa review kasi gusto mo siyang ma-kiss ulit!" I laughed, teasing Juli. Her expression quickly turned to embarrassment. "Pinagsasabi mo jan, yucks!" She exclaimed in denial while I couldn't contain my laughter.
"Well don't worry Juli, kasi I actually met someone too." I said after I stopped laughing. She looked at me interested.
"Ha? Really? Kala ko you don't do attachments with clients? Ay, wait, client ba yon?" She raised her eyebrows.
"Yeah I guess you can say that. But something about her just feels different you know? I've been looking forward to go back din." I bit my lip.

I've been craving the feeling of pure adrenaline rush as ecstasy fueled the intimate moment we had.

"Thennn, how about we go back to the bar this weekend again?" Juli proposed with a smirk. I raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"Wow, THE Juliana Robles is inviting me to go back to the bar she didn't want to go to before?" I sarcastically asked.
"C'mon, I know you want to." She bumped me playfully.
"Hmm, okay. I'll be at the bar naman either way kasi may shift ako." I agreed.

And that was how we found ourselves back at the bar. The cold airconditioned breeze could be felt exiting the bar door entrance as we walked in. The still familiar scent of liquor and mixed perfume with a hint of sweat hits yet again. I felt goosebumps when I stepped in.

God, I hope I'd see her again.

With a sigh, I looked at Juli who had a smile on her face as she started to slowly move her body to the beat of the song playing. A smile slowly crept on my face looking at her.
"Para kang tanga." I laughed.
"Bahala ka na jan, o-order na muna ako cocktails." She winked before making her way to get drinks.

Wow, alam niya na pala cocktail tawag don. Grabeng character development yan Juliana ha.

I chuckled watching her walk away. I took a deep breath. It was 10:54, I still needed to start my shift at 11, so I made my way at the back of the bar where our lockers were located to get myself ready. I took a deep breath, trying to prepare myself for the night I'm about to have.

Habang hindi pa ako makaka-usad, my life will always be like this; whether I like it or not.

I made my way to the vip lounge with an usual uneasy feeling in my heart hidden in a facade of flirtatious smirks.

The bass echoed presenting a new song as I started to perform on stage. Despite my best efforts to keep my seductive composure, I wanted to show off my moves to someone specific. I was looking for her in the crowd. As my body swerved around the pole, my eyes lingered, looking for a trace of Maeve in the shadows. But she wasn't there.

I could feel myself losing my facade of flirtatious gaze thinking about how she wasn't there. Was our meet perhaps only a coincidence? Were our paths never meant to cross again?

The music slowly descended in my mind as I tried to sort my thoughts out. It was as if the moment stopped for me. Why can't I get Maeve off my mind?

But I knew I couldn't let myself be let down just because of her. She was merely a client anyway. And so, with one deep breath, the music ascended back as my profound frustration fueled the flames of my desire to allure myself a new client.

If I can't forget her, I'll find myself someone else who can make me forget the night we spent.

I scanned the crowds once again, specifically the elite area, and found someone sitting with her legs crossed. I saw how intense her gaze was. She looked like she wanted to devour me. And that was what I wanted.

And so, with the tactics I used to get Maeve, I used up every bit of frustration I had in me to seduce her. I knew I had to get her.
