( shitttt uhhh is the that's not my neighbor fandom still alive? Sorry for going on like a afk hiatus, i got busy with schoolwork again and got my ass kicked, anyways i plan to finish this story by at least march of 2025, depends on how busy i get 😰. )

Soon, after a dreamless sleep. Your alarm woke you back up, the piercing beeps rang  went through your ears as you groaned. You sat up in your bed.

Jesus Christ....

You mutter to yourself, the fears and worries of what you saw last night had plagued your brain. Could Francis be dangerous? Would you actually ever be in danger?

God... I'm overreacting, I'll be fine.

Yet, those thoughts never left your brain. You saw him around your building, at your job. Those dead tired eyes.... His facial features brought everything together into harmony. He was attractive, to say the least. You got up, got yourself ready for the day, and went to start work at your job. Your job was going well, minus that one odd interaction, no one ever told you what that thing was.

You zoned out, focusing on your job. You weren't really paying attention though, so many thoughts ran through your head and yet... how could you manage them all

"Hey [ Your Name ]!"

"Huh???"

It was Nacha, her cheerful face staring back at you, she seemed to have want something. You glanced down at your papers and sighed. Knowing you were still on the job, you did not want to slack off. She continued to grin as she looked at you.

'So.... About that date thing... Need a dress? We can shop!" Her words rushed quickly through her mouth, she seemed ecstatic at the idea of you going on a date with someone.

Great.... That date....

"No, I'll be just fine Nacha." You reply, with a small smile, being around her always seemed to brighten your day just enough. Something about the way she acted. It always made the whole room light up. You did your job, clarifying she wasn't a "doppelgänger", you let her in and sigh. Going back to working on your job, everything blended in as you barely remember what happens. Just waiting and waiting until another attendant of the building arrives back.

The day ends, the sun sets, and everything seemed to become unimportant, fine lines blurring into one another as you walk back up to your apartment. The hallways were empty and quiet, like always since it was so late at night when you finished work and the workers for the night shift began. You open your apartment door, shut it and lock it and collapse onto your couch. Tired from the boring day.

.....

...........

KNOCK! KNOCK!

The sound of the door knocking startled you awake, thinking it was an intruder, you stood up panicked. Rushing to the door to protect yourself you crack it open a peek. There you see, a box of small chocolates and roses.

How sweet.....

You smiled at the sight, picking the objects of someone's clear affection up, you bump your head into the stomach of someone standing in front. With a startled grunt you fall back down onto the floor. You looked up from the floor, clearly flustered.

There he was.

Francis, standing in front of you. This time, he seemed almost, sorry? His expression was worried and his hand rested on the back of his neck.

God i probably look pathetic.

You stood back up, holding the objects and standing in the doorway of your apartment, almost defensively. He took a deep breath and began to speak.

"Listen [Your Name], I'm sorry for injuring angus and reacting the way i had done, i know you saw me. I just... really. Like, I really like- god this is stupid." His apology was sincere until the end. He seemed to be battling with something and his breath smelled strongly of.... Liquor? No, whiskey. The expensive kind you've only had a few times.

"It's alright, everything is past now." You smile sweetly, Trying to look fond of him. He was human, just like you after all. You stood in silence for a few seconds then he rushed off, drunk and mumbling to himself.

"She's the death of me.... God she's too sweet for me....."  his tone seemed panicked, almost annoyed at his inner turmoil, you sigh. Watching him walk off as you shut your apartment door.

I hope he's alright

No matter what you saw, you still viewed him the same. Something about your nature. Second chances were something you believed in,  you were just so "sweet" as Nacha always put it. You could never bring yourself to hate someone.
