Aemyra's pov

"Daenys the Dreamer. She had a prophetic dream of the Doom of Valyria. Lord Aenar took note of her vision and moved the Targaryen House to Dragonstone. The Doom happened 12 years later and your house was the only family of dragonriders to live. All because of a vision Daenys had, she saved your family." Cregan held a book in his hands to show me the page that talked about Daenys the Dreamer.

I stood there and looked at the page before slowly lifting my head to look at him. He had a look of hope in his eyes that now reflected blue skies. Completely different than the dark storm he had brewing 10 minutes ago before he took me to his bed chambers to show me a book.

A book about my family.

"Cregan?" I finally spoke.

"Yes, my princess?" He tensed up at my lack of emotion.

"Is there a reason you're giving me a history lesson on one of my ancestors?" I raised a brow at him. "Is this supposed to be groundbreaking news to me? Of course I know about Daenys the Dreamer." I rolled my eyes. Where was he getting at?

"My princess, I do not doubt your knowledge of your family." He had a hint of humor in his voice.

"Then what is the point to this?" I gritted my teeth.

"I mean it's right in our faces, Aemyra." He stifled a laugh as he moved the book closer to me.

"What is?" I groaned in annoyance as i pushed the book away.

"Daenys was a dreamer like you. She saw a vision and she was able to prevent it from happening to her and her family. She changed the outcome."

"So you're saying that..." I waited for him to get to his point.

"We can use your visions to change the outcome." He talked to me like I was slow. I felt as he lifted his hand and pretended to knock on my head. "Maybe you're not as bright as I presumed you'd be. It sounds hollow in there."

My jaw dropped at his insult as he just laughed hysterically. I punched his arm hard which didn't affect him in the slightest.

"C'mon Aemyra, look deeper into it." His laughing died down as he set the book onto the table before us.

"You don't think I've thought about changing things to prevent a bad vision? My visions aren't always of the future. They can also be of something that already happened that I just don't know about yet. Like Luke's death. I wasn't getting visions until after his death." I looked at him again. "As for things that haven't happened yet, my visions go in and out and they don't give me enough detail to know what will happen or when it will happen." I huffed out a sigh as I took a seat on the sofa.

"And sometimes... it's not visions I get." I admitted to him with a bit of hesitance.

"What do you mean by that?" He questioned as he took a seat beside me.

"I hear things." I said quietly.

"You hear things?" He raised a brow.

"Yes." I nodded my head at him. "You know when  you hear me say random stuff?"

"Like last night when you said the Queen who never was or when you said Its a setup." He mentioned and i just nodded along.
