Two days.

It's been a full two days since your - you don't even know what with Lynn. You couldn't call it an argument since you had barely given Lynn the time to explain herself before leaving, but how could you?

She was making it seem like it was crazy a 'guy like Brayden' was talking to you. What does that even mean?

You had asked yourself that about a thousand times within the two days you weren't with each other.

You were determined to not crack and approach Lynn first, that was for sure. You didn't do anything wrong, in fact, Lynn offended you and didn't even realize she did until she noticed you were upset.

Lynn, on the other hand, is coming to terms with the fact that she had messed up. Anyone should know that what she said would definitely be taken the wrong way, especially with her bad wording.

She's spent the last two days stressing and trying to find a way to make it up to you. She knows everything she wants to say, but the second she even thinks about actually saying it to you, she goes blank.

She also knows you're right next door but with the distance you were putting between you? It felt like you were a whole continent away.

While she's willing to apologize, she still stood by what she said. Definitely not her wording, but the concept of what she was talking about.

It wasn't crazy for a boy to talk to you, you're attractive and she knows this. What Lynn thought was weird was the fact that Brayden had randomly took interest in you after never acknowledging your presence.

It left a bad feeling in her gut and she couldn't tell if it was her amazingly good intuition or jealousy. If it was jealousy (never that..) and she was wrong, she wouldn't admit.

She was too stubborn for her own good and it showed.

Something else she was struggling with was trying to understand her feelings towards you. She was always sure that you were her best friend, but now she was questioning that.

She wasn't questioning it because it felt like
less than best friendship, no. She was questioning it because it felt like so much more to her.

Lynn had never experienced a crush before, and maybe being 15 without having one by now was weird, but she didn't seem to mind one bit.

She never cared for boys when she was younger and she honestly didn't think to care for girls either. She had spent a lot of time with boys considering the sports she played, but never took any interest in them. To be honest, she didn't even like them as teammates let alone friends that much.

She's only now questioning things because you almost kissed, and also because of her own disappointment when you didn't.

The only friends Lynn really kept were usually her teammates and the was because friendship was kind of mandatory for good chemistry on the team. So she had very little experience in the friendship field, and absolutely none in the romance part.
