Ariel

Saying that dinner was awkward is an understatement.

Dinner was horrifying.

I tired making conversation but Luke and Ashton kept muttering swear words and giving death glares to each other.

"For fuck sakes. " Michael says letting out a sigh.

I look at him and nod my head in agreement.

After dinner we all climbed into the car but I had to sit in the back with Mikey while Ashton and Luke say in the front yelling at each other like a married couple.

"Stop here." I say and they stop.

I grab Mike's hand and exit out of the car and begin walking.

"Ariel what the fuck? Where are you going?"

"Away from you two so you can sort out your problems. You both are acting immature but also acting like a married couple. Make up and have sex . For fucks sakes. I'm tired of the bullshit." I finish with a shaky voice. I shake my head and drag Michael along with me.

I mutter swear words just like they did during dinner while Mike is walking next to me.

From the corner of my eye I watch him shrug his jacket off and puts it around my shoulders.

I let out a nervous laugh and turn my head towards him. "Thank you."

"You seemed cold. It looked like you were shaking." He shrugs his shoulders and continues to walk.

Soon enough we end up back at my house and I grab my keys and unlock the door.

"Make yourself at home, I'm gonna go make a phone call."

He hums in response and jumps onto the couch.

I go into the kitchen and grab the house phone looking to see any missed messages.

I play one from my aunt " Hey Sweetie. Happy 18th birthday. I hope you have a great day. Love you!" I smile to my self and dial Calum's number.

"Yo." Is all I get.

"Calum."

I hear a bang in the background and running footsteps. "Ariel! Holy fuck!"

"Hey."

"Happy 18th birthday! What did you and Luke do?"

"Well he argued with Ashton all fucking night. I probably have a bunch more Facebook messages and text messages from relatives."

"None of them said it?"

"Probably not."

*Third Person POV*

Meanwhile in the living room Michael is listening in to her conversation on the phone and texting Luke.

To Luke : She really thinks you forgot it. That we all did.

From Luke: We're going to the store now to pick up the cake and ice cream, then we're gonna go get Calum. She is talking to him right?

To Luke : Yep. Having a nice old conversation about Nicole's baby.

From Luke : great.

In the car Ashton and Luke are goofing off with each other until they reach the store.

"Okay, Ashton go get the ice cream while I get the cake. And then go get a bottle of pop or whatever you think she'll like. And meet me by the registers." He nods his head and hurries off.

Luke goes to the back of the building and open the fridge and take the cake. Luke looks at it to make sure it's perfect and begins walking to the front.

He has to wait a few minutes for Ashton to come and when he does they both walk to one of those self check registers and hurry out of the building and are on there way to Calum's house.

"Ashton hurry up and knock the ice cream is melting." Luke says close to being irritated with his friend.

Ashton runs out of the car and knocks on the door a few times until Nicole answers.

"What do you want Ashton?"

"You're baby daddy. Calum!" Ashton screams past Nicole and Nicole looks towards the car where Luke is and gives a flirtatious smile.

He rolls his eyes and waits until both Calum and Ashton are in the car to almost speed to Ariel's house.

Ariel POV

I walk back into the living room where Mikey is and turn the tv on.

"If you want you can go put your pajamas on." Mikey says looking at his phone and back up at me smiling.

"Okay."

I walk up my stairs slightly confused and head to my room to change into a pair of cotton blue shorts and a white tank top. Throwing my hair in a pony tail I hear noise from downstairs.

"How can Mikey make so much noise by himself?" I whisper to myself heading downstairs and the first person I see is Calum..

I open my mouth and run into Calum's open arms jumping up.

"I missed you so much Calum, you don't even understand."

"I missed you too Ariel." He says patting my hair.

"Happy Birthday!" The three boys next to us scream out to me.

Funny to think that Calum was my only friend at the beginning of the year and I had never been kissed and I have a boyfriend.

I never would have thought this would happen.

I smile biting my bottom lip and looking down to the coffee table seeing a cake and a tub of chocolate ice cream and a few bags.

"What's this? I thought you guys were so involved in each other that you forgot it was my birthday."

"We did this on purpose. I'm sorry that you thought we forgot your birthday. I don't think we ever could. You made a big affect on all of us these past few months." Mikey says.

Luke and Ashton nod their heads grinning.

"And Ariel. I love you. I really do. And I'm not one to love. But I love you. I really do." Luke speaks almost in a whisper.

"I love you too." I go give him a hug.

Okay. This took an unexpected turn. I didn't think this is how it was going to end like this oops.

I guess I know what's going to happen.

I think I might just have this the last chapter and then an epilogue.
