Chapter 4: First meeting

African Jungle, 2004

Luna wakes up to find herself in a secluded part of the Island.

Luna: Ugh... Where am I...? I-

She finds her hair to has let loose, but thank god she didn't lose her glasses as they were still on her face like nothing happened.

Upon fixing her view, she found Kumba staring at her curiously, which caused her to scream only for him to run to a tree in fear.

Luna: *Gets up quickly* Wait! Don't go!

Just as he was about to climb the tree, Kumba heard the woman trying to stop him.

Luna: Look, I'm sorry for screaming, it was just unexpected, but don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you.

Cautiously but with curiousity, Kumba approached Luna. He may not understand what she's saying, but he could feel with the heart that she means no harm.

Luna holds out her hand for him to touch it, and he does so with his massive hand. And as they press their palms tenderly, the 2 feel that they're the same despite their exterior differences.

Kumba, his heart pounding once again, couldn't help but gaze at the woman's beautiful smile.

Unbeknowist to him, Luna was also blushing as she found herself staring at his deep brown eyes, and quickly pulled away with a shy smile.

Luna: *Giggles nervously* Sorry! *Takes a deep breath* What's your name?

Kumba: ?

Luna: (Thinking) *Right! I forgot!* (Animal sign language) I said "What's your name?".

Kumba: (Animal Sign language) Kum-ba.

Luna: *Smiles* (Animal Sign language) Your name is Kumba?

Kumba: *Nods while smiling*

Luna: (Animal Sign language) I'm Luna, pleasure to meet you.

The 2 decided to walk through the Jungle to get to know each other, as Kumba has shown her the beauty of the place.

Eventually, he managed to take Luna back to where the camp is, and she was grateful for it.

Luna: *Smiling beautifully* (Animal Sign language) Thank you for taking me back here.

Kumba: (Animal Sign language while talking gorilla language) You're welcome! *Blushing* Would you like to come visit me and my troop?

Luna: *Giggles happily* (Animal Sign language) Sure, I would love that! Until then, Kumba... *Winks at Kumba* King of the gorillas. *Goes to meet up with the group*

Upon seeing Luna wink at him, Kumba couldn't help but feel MORE flustered at how beautiful she looked and how kind she is. He goes back to his troop, Yet still unable to understand what is wrong with him.

On the other hand, Luna was thinking about how eventful her first day in Africa was. I know it sounds weird, but she couldn't help but blush at how gentle Kumba was despite his intimidating form. She decided to visit him next morning, to get to know him more and perhaps find out what's the strange feeling inside her.
