Violet Pov:

"May I present the prince Jacaerys Velaryon of house Targaryen", Julian called after opening the great doors with gusto. At this I immediately flipped the guard that had me in a chokehold over my shoulder. The sound of his armor crashing to the ground bringing a smile to my face. The whole room was quiet besides the sound of Vaylen tapping his fingers on the table of the rhythm of our house song.

"Targaryen? Hm didn't know they made Targaryens with brown hair and dark eyes", I say my eyes narrowed. To my surprise this bastard prince narrows his back but doesn't say anything. He wouldn't dare. I look to Julian who looked just as pissed as I felt. What was he pissed for he wasn't the one being forced to marry some bastard.

"Lady Violet-"
"Ah did I give you permission to speak boy", I snap interrupting what ever little speech he had prepared probably on his way here. The boy's face falters but only for a moment before it's resolved with a look of entitlement only a Targaryen could muster. God I hate their lot. "I don't recall needing it. I am the prince and heir to the throne and your soon to be husband", he remarked slyly, strutting up to the end of the table. It was then that the air in the room seemed to thicken like it was meaning to choke me. And though there was about 12 other people in the room the dark eyed boy's words made me feel as if it was just him and I in the room. And I didn't like that one bit.

I let out a high pitched laugh, relishing in the echo that followed. "I don't know what horseshit your whore mother has filled your head with but you are no 'soon to be husband' of mine boy. You might be cock of the walk on Dragonstone but in The Heavans you're just another bastard a long way from home", I finish smirking. Gods I really do have a way with words I thought, I should write a book.

"Sister", Vaylen shouted almost making me jump, "that is enough"! "I dare you to say that again", the prince says, his face crimson and voice dripping with venom. But this doesn't scare me it intrigues me and by the encouraging look from Julian I was doing a good job. Everyone watches me as I swiftly stand on the table and slowly walk ever so closer to the bastard on the other end. Not caring that the broken glass from my fit of rage was cutting my bare feet. "Say what? Bastard, what you don't fancy that word", I challenge looking down at him. From this view point he looked so small how dare he be so bold as to command my hand in marriage.

The prince's eyes grow somehow even darker as he stares up at me with a look so cold I almost felt the temperature drop. But to my surprise he doesn't say anything instead opting to, and I can't believe it roll his shit colored eyes at me in a dismissive way. "Where is Vamixus Smitherman, surely you are a little young to be this spoiled heathen's father", he says walking up to Vaylen who looked as if he would be sick at any moment. Spoiled? He's one to talk he's the prince! He has no right to call me a heathen. His family tree grows in a circle, I thought getting my teeth. "He's not here, he's on a hunt", I interject. But the idiot doesn't even spare me a look of disdain. Vaylen had his complete attention. What's this bastard playing at? Some type of mind game, that's my way! Who does he think he is? "My sister tells true he is on-"

"Ah Prince Jacaerys, your journey to The Heavans went smoothly I hope. A terrible storm just passed through mere hours ago", my father's booming voice interjects as the great doors open. My father showed no signs of my wreckage bothering him even though I knew in his head he was going mad. "Yes ser there was a terrible one, I almost had to turn back home", Jacaerys replies with a small smile. Oh so he does know how to be polite after all what luck, I thought with an eye roll. "There's still time for that", I jest aloud except I was being serious. Julian scoffs at this before quickly muffling his snickering with his gloved hand. Well at least someone was enjoying this blasphemous ordeal.

"Well you are here now and we welcome you. It is an honor to finally join our houses my prince", my father said with a bow. A bow? What the hell? Vaximus Smitherman bowed to no one, why is he being such a lickspittle, I thought as I quietly stepped down from the table. I had to get out of here, a quick escape I could retreat to my cousin's or perhaps just fly away and never return. I don't know where I'd go but anywhere had to be better than here.

My father and Jacaerys continued discussing their formalities even my dear brother Vaylen joined. Traitor the both of them. Only Julian who hadn't taken his eyes off me seemed to be on my side. "I will not marry him father", I shout interrupting their ceaseless chatter, making the three of them turn their heads to me. Jacaerys said nothing, only lazily a ran a hand through his chocolate mass of curls. He was nothing special to look at who did he think he was.

"That's not up to you, the queen has ordered it",, my father stated matter of factedly. I knew he was lying my father was never matter of fact, he had a struck a deal with the bastard's mother for his own personal gain. It made me sick.
"The queen has no power over me", I shoot back as I finally reached my destination, a window. I could see it was now dark out and the moon hung high in the sky not one star in sight it was the perfect time to fly. "Violet don't do"- I hear Vaylen say but he's too late. I had already flung myself out into the clouds below. The wind whipping through my locs, and Morningstar only a couple feet below waiting for me.
