"Royalty, c'mere mama" I called her name
She ran in the kitchen, hopping in one of the high chairs at the island. She screamed for a long time as I handed her a bowl of ice cream and Nutter Butters.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She continued as I covered my ears
"Roy!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
The lights cut off.
Royalty started screaming louder and I heard a loud thump and a 'oof'.
Sighing, I got my phone from my back pocket, turning on the flashlight. I saw Royalty's ice cream on counter and Royalty on the floor. She lifted herself up, shaking her head rapidly. She got up and walked towards me and giggled, jumping up and down.
"Now, we can go visit Kobe!" She cheered
My mouth dropped as I saw her skip around in a circle.
"You did this on purpose?!" I shouted
"Well, duh"
"What if Chris comes back?"
"Oh daddy? Umm.. Oops"
"You didn't think this through did you?" I put my hand on my hip
"No"
"Apparently"
I sighed and froze. Royalty froze as we heard the front door open. Chris walked in singing a little tune. Hearing his keys drop, I covered my eyes.
"Royalty!!!" He yelled, slamming the front door
"Aunt Ne, save me!" She reached her arms out
Picking her up, Chris had his phone out with his flashlight on. It was on Roy and I, seeing him glare at us.
"Now, Chris-"
"She was screaming won't she?"
"Yes, but-"
"I'll beat your lil tootie bootie, Roy" Chris rolled his neck, causing Royalty to snuggle against my neck "Wick wack wam"
"I saw a bug" Royalty lied
"Nevaeh could've killed it"
"Well" She sucked on her thumb
"If you screamin' now, watch when I beat that behind-" Chris was cut off by his phone ringing
"Who is it?" I asked him
"Kemi" He blushed
Nudging him, he wandered off to answer it.
"You got a crush on Be, huh?"
"No, I just like his hair" She shrugged. I raised my eyebrow "Okay, ya, I like him- so?"
"Awwww, how cute" I smiled "Imagine you guys growing up and dating"
"Ew, dating is gross"
"How?"
"Ain't dating what grown people do to make babies?"
I puffed my cheeks up as I snickered.
"That's what daddy said" She frowned "I'm right, right?"
