SAMBERLY'S DEVICE WASN'T WORKING when they reached the warehouse, so Sera snatched it from him and started fiddling with the wires as Peggy argued with Daniel about going in to rescue Wilkes. When their backs were turned, she snuck off and when Sera noticed, she rolled her eyes.

"Bloody typical," she said quietly, before turning her attention back to the device. "Jesus, I thought this would work."

"Can you get it working?" Daniel asked.

Sera gave him an incredulous look. "I'm a Stark. Of course I can."

"A Stark on Howard's level or a Stark on an adequate level?" Daniel asked.

"I am above and beyond Howard's intelligence," Sera replied, fitting two wires together. "Alright, alright, I think I've done it."

"Well?" Daniel asked.

"Hold on," Sera snapped. "Yelling at me isn't going to make this any easier, Daniel," she flicked a switch and grinned. "That's it. I got it. The detonator's now blocked."

"Finally," Daniel whispered.

"Hey, great job, Sera," she muttered. "You really saved the day."

"Hey, it should be me you're thanking," Samberly said. "I built that."

"Samberly, someday I'm gonna kill you," Daniel muttered.

"Get in line, Chief."

"Where the hell are you, Peggy?" Daniel whispered.

"Hopefully far enough away," Sera replied.

A few minutes later, Sera saw a shadow running towards them and rounded the car to intercept Jack. "Jack, what the hell are you doing?"

"Turn it on," he demanded, pointing at Samberly. "Turn it on now!"

"Don't you dare," Sera told him, turning to Jack. "You want us to trust you, then you pull this crap?"

"This isn't about trust," Jack said. "This is about making the hard choices."

"By killing an innocent person?" Peggy asked from behind them.

"Not one person in there is innocent!" Jack shouted.

"Jason Wilkes is!"

"I'm doing what needs to be done," Jack snapped. "What the three of you won't do."

"Murder three people?" Daniel asked.

"Vernon would've killed all of us the first chance he got!" Jack shouted.

"Vernon Masters should be brought to justice," Peggy retorted. "Isn't that our job? Or is the SSR no longer in that business?"

"It doesn't matter now," Jack replied. "Whitney's taking care of him as we speak, with or without the bomb, and nobody is gonna shed a tear if we blow Whitney Frost to kingdom come."

"And how does killing Wilkes fit into your moral prevarication?" Peggy asked.

"Because he's more dangerous than all of them put together!" Jack shouted. "Samberly, whatever you did to the detonator, undo it."

"Don't do it, Samberly," Sera said. "Jack, forget about it. This is over."

Jack pulled his gun on Samberly. "Fix it."

"NO!" Peggy, Sera and Daniel shouted.

Samberly leaned towards the jammer and flicked a switch. "Fixed."

Peggy pulled her gun on Jack as he turned and held up the detonator. "Put it down."

"What? You gonna shoot me, Carter?" Jack asked, as Sera stood beside Daniel.
