Chapter Twenty: Here They Come

The day had finally arrived for the long-awaited short trip to Australia. The clock showed 6:30 PM, and Haewon was at Lily's apartment, helping the blonde singer pack her clothes for the vacation. They were planning to meet Bae, Sullyoon, Kyujin, and Jiwoo at the airport later. Their flight was scheduled for 10 PM, and they had intentionally chosen the latest flight to avoid drawing attention, especially considering Lily's fame. Haewon had already packed her belongings before coming to Lily's apartment, so he was fully focused on assisting Lily.

In her bedroom, Lily was struggling to decide which clothes to bring. "Should I bring this dress, or is it too formal?" Lily held up a floral dress, her brow furrowed in indecision. Haewon, sitting on the edge of her bed, considered the dress for a moment. "It looks great, but maybe pack something more versatile. How about those jeans and that cute top you wore last week?"

Lily nodded, grateful for Haewon practical suggestions. She rummaged through her wardrobe, pulling out various items. "But what about evening wear? Do you think we'll go somewhere fancy?" Haewon chuckled. "It's a vacation, Lily. Let's focus on comfort. But yes, bring one nice outfit just in case."

Lily sighed, a little overwhelmed by the choices. "I just want to be prepared for anything, you know?" Haewon got up and walked over to her, gently taking a few pieces of clothing from her hands. "I understand. Let's start with the basics and go from there. How about this? We make a list: casual wear, beachwear, one fancy outfit, and some comfy clothes for the flight."

With Haewon's calm and organized approach, Lily felt more at ease. They began sorting through her clothes together, creating neat piles based on their list. Haewon would hold up a piece, and Lily would either nod or shake her head, gradually narrowing down her choices.

After packing the essentials, they moved on to accessories and shoes. Lily held up a pair of high heels, looking uncertain. "These, or should I go for flats?" "Flats," Haewon said without hesitation. "We're going to be doing a lot of walking and exploring. Comfort is key." Lily smiled, appreciating her practical advice. "You're right. I don't know what I'd do without you." Haewon grinned, leaning in to kiss her forehead. "That's what I'm here for."

With the main packing done, Lily turned her attention to her carry-on bag. "I need to pack my skincare essentials and makeup. Can't forget those." Haewon nodded, watching as Lily carefully selected her favorite products. "Just don't overpack. Remember, you can always buy something if you need it." Lily laughed softly. "I guess you're right."

After finishing the packing, Lily moved on to preparing herself. She chose a comfortable outfit for the long flight: an oversized white hoodie and comfy pants, along with a cap to slightly conceal her identity. Haewon, too, chose a comfortable outfit: a black t-shirt tucked into her black jeans, accessorized with a belt and a black cap.

As they were about to leave for the airport, Haewon reminded Lily, "Don't forget your face mask." Lily smiled and grabbed a mask from the table. "Got it. Thanks, Haewon."

They left the apartment, making their way to the car that would take them to the airport. The drive was smooth,  and they chatted about their excitement for the trip.

Upon arriving at the airport, they navigated through the relatively quiet terminal, thanks to the late hour. The others had already gathered near the check-in counter, and the group exchanged enthusiastic greetings.

Kyujin waved excitedly as she saw Haewon and Lily approaching. "There you are! Ready for an adventure?" she beamed. "Absolutely!" Lily responded, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Bae and Sullyoon were discussing some last-minute details of their trip when they noticed the new arrivals. "Perfect timing, you two," Bae said with a smile. "We were just about to check in."
