Today was Saturday, marking the start of the weekend, and Bae had planned a special outing to the park with Sullyoon. She had a surprise in store for her and was eagerly waiting in her apartment for her arrival.

Earlier, Bae had sought advice from her friends, Haewon, Lily, Kyujin, and Jiwoo, about her intention to ask Sullyoon to be her girlfriend. It had been nearly eight months since they first met and got to know each other, and Bae realized that her feelings for Sullyoon had grown far beyond mere friendship.

Haewon, Kyujin, Jiwoo, and Lily were all supportive of Bae's decision. Lily, in particular, had reassured her, saying, "Sullyoon definitely has feelings for you too, Bae. I've known her for a long time, and she wouldn't spend so much time with someone she wasn't interested in."

Bae felt a bit more at ease hearing this, but the nervous excitement remained. She had prepared everything meticulously, hoping to create the perfect moment to express her feelings. The park where she planned to take Sullyoon was one of her favorite places, a quiet spot with beautiful scenery that would set the ideal mood for his confession.

As Bae waited, she mentally rehearsed what she wanted to say, her heart pounding with anticipation. The idea of finally taking this step filled her with both anxiety and hope, but the thought of Sullyoon's smile and her potential response made it all worth it.

Finally, the doorbell rang. Bae took a deep breath, composed herself, and opened the door to see Sullyoon standing there, looking as radiant as ever. Her presence alone calmed her nerves, and Bae smiled warmly at her. "Ready to go?" She asked, trying to keep her voice steady. Sullyoon nodded, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitement.

Bae and Sullyoon made their way to the park, walking side by side. The day was perfect, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze. The park was filled with the sounds of children playing, birds chirping, and the distant hum of city life, creating a serene backdrop for what Bae had planned.

They found a quiet spot under a large oak tree, where Bae had previously arranged for a picnic setup. A blanket was spread out, adorned with an assortment of Sullyoon's favorite snacks and a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Sullyoon's eyes widened in surprise and delight at the sight. "Bae, this is beautiful! You did all this for me?"

Bae smiled, feeling her heart swell with affection. "Of course, Sullyoon. I wanted today to be special."

They settled down on the blanket, chatting and laughing as they enjoyed the picnic. Bae couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over her as she watched Sullyoon, her laughter like music to her ears. As the afternoon wore on, Bae knew it was time to reveal her true feelings.

Bae took a deep breath and reached for Sullyoon's hand. "Sullyoon, there's something I need to tell you," he began, his voice steady but his heart racing. "These past eight months have been incredible, getting to know you and spending time together. You've become such an important part of my life, and I can't imagine my days without you."

Sullyoon's eyes softened, her gaze locked onto Bae's. "Bae, what are you trying to say?"

Bae squeezed her hand gently. "What I'm trying to say is... I have feelings for you. Strong feelings. I want us to be more than just friends. Will you be my girlfriend, Sullyoon?"

Sullyoon's eyes widened at Bae's confession. For a moment, she felt a rush of emotions—joy, fear, excitement, and trepidation all at once. She fell silent, her thoughts racing back to past heartbreaks and the disappointment that had once clouded her trust in love.

Bae waited patiently, her heart pounding, as she watched the myriad of emotions play across Sullyoon's face. She could see the hesitation, the lingering shadows of her past, and it made her want to hold that girl close and protect her from any more pain.
