This week's chapter is from Orio's point of view.

No, I must of heard that wrong. There is no way this hatchling could be a student of the greatest mage the likes of which hasn't been seen in over 1000 years!?

The guild master must have made a mistake. Seems like it's up to me, the great Orio to point out this blunder before the hatchling gets hurt.

"My dear guild master, I am certain you are mistaken. There is no way this hatchling could be a student of the Great Mage." Ah, perfect as always. "Besides, he is but a hatchling, I am certain the great mage wouldn't send a hatchling to join the adventurer's guild even if he was his student."

With that even someone as stern as the guild master will be able to see reason. Ah, I have just saved this hatchling from a cruel fate. I am such a...

"Oh? I'm not mistaken," the GM yelled.

The guild master proceeded to pull out some sort of paper from her pocket, holding it up above the railing so that we who were beneath her on the ground floor like peasants could see.

"This certificate proves that Gonbee here was recognized by Moonwalker."

She let the letter go allowing it to flutter down to us where it was grabbed by Fivim who after looking at it said, "It's true."

The people who had gathered gasped in shock as they muttered things like,

"He must be pretty strong then,"

"We shouldn't underestimate him,"

"You can't kick out the great mage's student,"

"Letting him try."

This was crazy, my logic was perfect, where did it go wrong. This hatchling... Just what is he? Hatchling?

Yes, despite what they think he's still a hatchling. That alone would cause problems for the guild.

"That still doesn't help with the problem of his age," I calmly told her. I definitely wasn't shaking, not even a little.

"As I said,"

"Ah, the loud-mouthed elf again."

"The name's Fivim," she said profusely.

Urk, did I say that out loud?

"Gonbee is a Shroomkid, they always have the body of a child," Fivim once again argues.

"And that is unfortunate," I played it calm and cool. Yes, I have to make it look like I'm doing this for the hatchling's sake. "You may be willing to send a hatchling into danger, but I am not."

Ah her face shows her displeasure. Now to show my sorrowful side.

"Someone has to look out after the young. I do agree it is a shame this boy will never be able to be a respected adult like me, but such is the ways of fate."

"You, a respected adult?" Fivim mocking me.

"ENOUGH!!!" exclaimed the guild master, "It's true we cannot allow those who are not ready to be adventurers join,"

Ah, I knew the guild master would agree with me.

"Which is why we have the test," The guild master added.

"Yes, the tests... Wait what?" Was she going to allow the hatchling to take the test?

"But Miss Navem," I cried. I noticed the boy hasn't said anything in a while, I'll have to use that then. "The boy hasn't even"
