"Now... where is my big baby?"

Jeonghan already has an idea, of where Coups might be. He made his way out of the house, straight to the garden and there he was, looking at the sky. Jeonghan tenderly smiled looking at him and walked towards him.

He silently took the seat beside him. Coups noticed him right away and smiled at him.

"What are you thinking?" Jeonghan straight-up asked him.

Coups shrugged his shoulder, "Nothing... just thinking about DK.... I didn't realize it's been so long since I met him... more than 10 years."

He took a pause, "Not only him... it's been more than 10 years meeting Wonwoo and Mingyu as well."

"It sure is long a time!" Jeonghan exclaimed.

Coups hummed, "You know after listening to DK... it reminded me of the day I met him. It felt nostalgia... not the good kind... vulnerable kind."

"It must be hard," Jeonghan softly said.

Coups kept on looking at the sky and spoke, "hmm... I was in my own predicament at that time and was running for my own reasons... that's when I saw DK's collapsed body on the ground in the shabby area of Daegu... To be honest I was not in the mind of helping anyone at that time."

Jeonghan was intently listening to Coups, with all his attention on him.

"At first I walk past him, without thinking about it, minding my own business. Then I looked at his face. I took a few steps and then halted. I went back to him and sighed. I decided to help him... you know why?"

He looked at Jeonghan and he shook his head, "because there was this stupid smile on his face even when he was dying. That smile made me take a decision I never wanted to."

"To save him, I had to go back to the place where I never wanted to return... my old home. But that was the only way to help him. Somehow, I managed to drag him to the house and I called the family doctor. When he arrived and checked, he was shocked. He was surprised that he was still breathing. He told me that DK was overly drugged."

Coups took a pause. Jeonghan immediately held his hand and squeezed it to ensure him that it was alright now.

He continued, "He told me that we need to cleanse his body and it will not be an easy task. Believe me... it was hell. Every passing second, his pulse was weakening and so were his survival chances."

"After going through for hours, finally something worked on him and it helped him vomit. Now, the problem was he was unconscious and aggressively puking his guts out. So, someone has to be with him all the time, or else he would choke on his vomit. It took us a whole week to completely detox his body. But he was still not up."

"More days passed and I thought it was a lost cause. He might never be up. Just then, he opened his eyes and I was right beside him. I didn't even know how to react, so I just softly smiled at him, tried my best not to overwhelm him."

"It's funny... He was wary of me at first but after a few days maybe he started to trust me. When I walked into his room that day, I listened to the sweetest thank you and saw the warmest smile of my life. I couldn't believe how can someone hurt him. But then again... the world is a rotten place. I was like I'm going to protect that smile."

Coups took a deep drag of breath and got back to Jeonghan, "After that, he stayed with me and after a while, Wonwoo and Mingyu joined as well." he finished.

Jeonghan was just staring at him. He can't even believe that people call him ruthless. Part of him was satisfied that the person he had fallen for was not all evil. He has a heart.
