TW: Descriptive Sexual assault
Mason's feet pounded the pavement as he ran, his chest heaving with the effort and the torrent of emotions raging inside him. The fight with Nathan echoed in his mind, each angry word and pained accusation replaying in a relentless loop. He didn't know where else to go, but his feet instinctively carried him to Ethan's house, the one place he felt he might find some solace.
He arrived at Ethan's front door, panting and shaking. For a moment, he hesitated, wondering if he should really burden Ethan with his problems. But the fear of being alone with his thoughts was too much to bear. He knocked, his hand trembling.
Ethan opened the door, his eyes widening in surprise when he saw Mason standing there, disheveled and distressed. "Mason? What happened?"
"Can I... can I stay over?" Mason's voice was barely above a whisper, his eyes pleading.
"Of course," Ethan said immediately, stepping aside to let him in. "Come in."
Mason walked inside, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. The familiar warmth of Ethan's home was a stark contrast to the cold, hostile environment he had just fled.
Ethan led him to the his bedroom and they sat down on the bed. "What happened?" he asked gently.
Mason took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "I had a fight with Nathan. It was bad. Really bad."
Ethan nodded, his eyes filled with concern. "Do you want to talk about it?"
Mason shook his head. "Not right now. I just... I need to be somewhere that feels safe."
Ethan reached out and took Mason's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "You're always safe here, Mason. Whatever you need, I'm here for you."
The sincerity in Ethan's voice brought tears to Mason's eyes. He felt a surge of emotion, a desperate need for comfort and connection. Without thinking, he leaned in and kissed Ethan, his lips trembling with the intensity of his feelings.
Ethan responded, his kiss tender and reassuring. Mason felt a brief flicker of warmth and desire, but it quickly faded, replaced by a numbness that spread through his body. The antidepressants were a constant barrier, dulling his emotions and preventing any physical excitement.
He pulled back, frustration and sadness welling up inside him. "I can't feel anything," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
Ethan's eyes softened with understanding. "It's okay, Mas-"
Mason shook his head, tears streaming down his face. "i cant even fucking get it up! I just wanted to feel something. Anything."
Ethan pulled him into a gentle embrace, holding him tightly.
Mason clung to Ethan, the weight of his emotions finally breaking free. He sobbed uncontrollably, the pain and frustration pouring out of him in waves. Ethan held him, his own heart breaking for the boy he cared about so deeply.
They stayed like that for a long time, Mason crying until he had no more tears left to shed. The numbness remained, but there was a small comfort in Ethan's presence, in the knowledge that he wasn't alone.
When Mason's sobs finally subsided, Ethan pulled back slightly, looking into his eyes. "Do you want to talk about it now?"
Mason nodded, wiping his eyes. "Yeah. I think I do."
