Sia paced back and forth in her opulent bedroom, her footsteps muffled by the plush carpet. The air felt thick with her anxiety, her heart pounding louder with each passing second. She had done the unthinkable—she had called the police. The fear of Taehyung's retribution gnawed at her, but the thought of enduring another day under his control was even more terrifying. For six months, she had been trapped in this gilded cage, cut off from the outside world by Taehyung's obsessive love and control.

Her eyes flicked to the ornate clock on the wall, each tick amplifying her nerves. She knew the consequences of going against Taehyung, but she had reached her breaking point. The oppressive silence of the mansion was occasionally broken by distant sounds, making her jump with every creak and whisper. Her hands trembled as she hugged herself, trying to steady her racing heart.

Sia sat by her window, her expression as cold and detached as ever, but her heart was a storm of unvoiced emotions. She had spent countless hours staring out at the sprawling grounds of the mansion, a gilded cage that held her captive.

The sirens in the distance grew louder, a mix of hope and dread surging through her. Help was coming, but so too was the possibility of Taehyung finding out before they arrived. She couldn't let fear paralyze her now. She had to stay strong, to hold on just a little longer.

The stillness of the afternoon was suddenly disrupted by a commotion outside. The voices of the guards rose in heated argument, pulling her attention from her dismal thoughts. Sia's eyes narrowed as she peered through the glass, trying to make out the source of the disturbance.

Her breath caught in her throat as she saw a group of police officers confronting the guards at the gate. The confrontation grew more intense, and her heart began to race, a flicker of hope igniting within her. Could this be her chance? Was she really escaping today? She watched with bated breath as the officers overpowered the guards, pushing their way through and heading toward the mansion.

The realization hit her like a jolt of electricity. This was it. She had to act now. Without wasting another second, Sia sprang to her feet to dashed out of her bedroom. But before she could opened the door the door opened from outside causing her jump at her spot.

Suddenly, the door to her bedroom swung open, and Sia's breath caught in her throat. She spun around, her heart nearly stopping at the sight of one of Taehyung's trusted man who he personally hired to keep an eye on her in his absence. His expression was a mix of confusion and anger.

"What's going on, Sia?"

he demanded, his voice cold and sharp.

Sia forced herself to meet his gaze, her fear masked by a facade of defiance.

"I called the police. I can't stay here any longer."

The man's eyes widened in shock, then narrowed in fury.

"You have no idea what you've done."

Her normally composed demeanor was shattered by the urgency of her movements. She pushed the man with her all force and dashed out of the room.

Sia hurried down the grand staircase, her footsteps echoing in the vast, empty halls of the mansion. The head maid, standing at the foot of the stairs, looked up and shook her head frantically, silently pleading with Sia to stop.

"Mam, don’t!"

the maid's eyes seemed to scream. But Sia was too desperate to heed the warning. She knew she couldn't spend another day in this prison. The thought of being trapped with him, of living a life devoid of freedom and joy, filled her with a fierce determination. She quickened her pace, the sound of her own heartbeat loud in her ears.
