The room was softly illuminated by the early morning sun filtering through the curtains. Everything seemed peaceful, wrapped in the warmth of the bed where Sia lay beside Taehyung, her breathing steady, lost in deep sleep. Taehyung’s arm was draped loosely over her waist, his body drawn close to hers as if he couldn’t bear to be apart even while she slept. He watched her for a long moment, admiring the peaceful expression on her face. Her skin glowed under the morning light, and he couldn’t help but feel a rush of gratitude.

He moved closer, pressing light, feathery kisses along her cheek, trailing down to her lips. His heart swelled with love as he watched her begin to stir.

"Good morning, sugar"

he whispered, brushing his lips against hers softly.

Sia’s eyes fluttered open, her gaze meeting his as she blinked away the remnants of sleep. Her lips curved into a gentle smile as she responded with a soft,

"Good morning,"

in a voice that carried the warmth of a dutiful wife.

Taehyung smiled wider, leaning in to kiss her again, his hand caressing her cheek.

"I never thought I’d be this happy," he said, his voice low and filled with emotion. "You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Sia. My life was a mess before you... hell, I was a mess. But because of you, I’ve become someone I didn’t even know I could be."

His voice was filled with admiration as he spoke, his heart pounding in his chest.

"Even if my way of getting you was wrong, I don’t care. You’ve made me human, Sia. You insisted on therapy, on fixing me... and I’m so glad you did. I’m not sure I would’ve survived without you."

Sia’s heart tightened at his words, but she kept the smile on her face, even though a part of her wanted to recoil. She knew she had to play the part. "You’re welcome," she whispered softly, running her hand through his hair, feeling his body relax against her touch.

Taehyung’s gaze softened as he looked into her eyes, getting lost in the depths of them. Her eyes were always his undoing, those deep, powerful pools that held the ability to drown him in his love for her. He reached up to cup her face again, his thumb brushing over her skin tenderly.

"Do you know what’s in two days?"

he asked, his voice filled with excitement.

Sia nodded, her eyes still on him.

"Yes, I remember."

Taehyung grinned.

"I’ve got something special planned for us,"

he said, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Something you’ll never forget."

Sia’s smile didn’t waver as she leaned in closer, her voice dripping with sweetness.

"There’s no need for that. This time, *I* will be the one to surprise you."

Taehyung’s heart swelled with joy at her words. He couldn’t believe how far they had come. He was certain that her saying this meant she was truly reciprocating his efforts, finally giving in to the love he had for her.

"You don’t know how happy you make me," he said, his voice soft and full of emotion. "Thank you for coming into my life, Sia. Thank you for loving me."

Sia’s hand slid gently through his hair, and she smiled at him, the act coming so naturally now.

"You don’t have to thank me," she said, her tone tender.
