Atlantic City, located on the east coast of New Jersey, known for its boardwalk, beaches, and most importantly... casinos. That's why on this wonderful weekend, the BAU find themselves in Atlantic City. Danny Savino, the floor manager at the Sapphire Lady Casino, was found dead in his office. He had blunt force trauma to the head. An empty wallet and money clip were left next to his body. Savino was a member of the Agnoli crime family. Eight one-dollar bills were found around him and an eight of hearts card was found on top of him. The crime was ritualistic, and because of Savino's ties to organised crime, the local agents are worried about things escalating. Collateral damage means nothing to these guys, if things aren't handled quickly, innocent people will die.

Prentiss, Reid, and Bennett were at the station. The lead detective had asked one of his new officers to assist by taking them to the crime scene, thinking it would be helpful for the officer's training. The trio agreed. Adeline briefly excused herself to take a phone call from her stepdad. It was brief; he asked if she had time to go for coffee since he was in DC. Of course, she didn't.

Meanwhile, the rookie officer made his way over to Prentiss and Reid. "Hi, I'm Elliot. Elliot Bowman. I'm with the police. I've been assigned to take you to the Savino crime scene."

"Hi, Officer. Thank you for your assistance. We are just waiting on Agent Bennett," Emily politely greeted.

Adeline joined the team, apologising for slipping away and explaining that it was a family call but everything was okay. "Hi, I'm Agent Bennett." She extended her hand for the rookie to shake.

"H-Hi. Um, Elliot. My name is Elliot," he stuttered.

"Good to meet you, Elliot," Adeline smiled. Elliot led the way to his squad car before driving the trio to the crime scene.

Once they arrived, a couple of officers were at the door. They showed their badges and were let through.

"Electric strike lock. Impressive," Adeline noted.

Spencer pushed through to her side. "And hard to bypass. If this was a robbery, the unsub must have slipped in right behind him."

"Savino could have known the killer. He could have let him in himself. He wasn't expecting this to turn into a brawl," Emily added.

"You know, maybe the unsub wasn't either. If this was premeditated, you'd think he would have brought a gun or a knife with him. The bowling trophy's more a weapon of opportunity." Spencer deduced.

Adeline looked around the room, "Hey, Elliot, is this the only camera?"

Elliot, visibly nervous, says "Yes ma'am, but the disc was removed."

"You don't have to call me ma'am. Adeline is fine." She smiled sweetly. Spencer and Emily both noticed Elliot's immediate attraction to Adeline. Spencer did everything he could to position himself between the two at the crime scene. Emily watched as the two men subtly competed with their microactions.

"The casinos have a central terminal that backs up and stores all surveillance footage, right?" Spencer asked, once again moving towards Adeline's side.

"Mr Savino didn't want that in his office. He opted for a personal camera, his security told us." Elliot responded.

"So, the victim bypassed a security system that would have revealed his own killer." Adeline confirmed, she turned around to take a closer look at the camera, "so, what didn't he want anyone else to see?"

The group looked around a little more, gathering all the evidence they could and questioning 'why?' at every turn. They asked for Elliot to drive them back to the station to regroup with the rest of the team. He happily showed them out and drove them back. The entire way back to the station, Elliot complimented their talent for profiling. He told them how incredible it was they could pick up on small things like the trophy being used suggests the murder was not premeditated.
