Phoebe had a long sword in her hand and had magically merged her clothing into a beautiful set of armor. The delicate designs looked like scales. She pulled another sword out of her back holster and merged the handles together with her hands. Xander pulled out his knife.
"XANDER NO!" I screamed, but it was too late.
Xander was laying on the floor bleeding. My blood boiled more this time. Phoebe smirked and blew him a kiss. Then, she turned her attention to me.
"Huh! I guess you were right. Is the little kitty cat mad?" She teased.
I was more than mad. I was furious!
"You have no idea..." I said, smirking.
She lowered into a fighting stance, her swords behind her back. She lifted them with both her hands, and split them into two. I prepared myself too, pulling my hair into a ponytail. She ran at me with her swords behind her back, preparing to strike, but I had a few tricks up my sleeve. I just stood there. Finally, she reached me. Or so she thought. I acted like I sneezed and teleported.
"Oops!" I said.
She scowled. Then she went running at me again, but this time, I wanted to strike. I yawned. She slowed down. Then, she nodded to something behind me. I wasn't that dumb. I turned but teleported as I did, appearing behind her. Then I felt a burning sensation on my hands. I looked down and saw the ruby red fire. I attempted to place my hands on her back but before I did she turned and my hands went straight to her face.
"AH! You stupid beast!" Phoebe gasped, holding her hands to her eyes.
"Oops!" I snickered, putting my hands up to my mouth dramatically.
Then, she struck me. A blade so sharp, it could kill millions, was lodged in my leg. I managed to teleport away before placing myself up against a cavern wall to rest. I pulled the sword out of my thigh and when I did, it disappeared. I quickly ripped a piece of cloth off my leggings and wrapped the wound. I stood, and using the side of the wall for balance I teleported back to the lab.
I teleported into the actual lab itself, stumbling downwards and landing on my side. I glanced around. The others weren't back yet. Then I saw someone turn the corner.
"Oh my Goddess!" Naomi said, running up to me.
"Hey!" I said casually.
"How are you so calm? You look like you've been in a fight!" Naomi stated.
"Well that's because I was! Have you been living under a rock or something?" I asked.
"No. I haven't, but I don't expect to find you lying on the floor with a bloody leg!" She explained.
She took me up the stairs to my bedroom and reached for the first aid kit beside my bed. I noticed the mud all over the floor.
"Stop, Someone's here!" I said.
Just as I said that, I felt a chill, stronger than any other. I knew exactly where the person was. My eyes glanced up and saw the man hanging from the ceiling. It was Nolan! I thought he was dead though! I quickly shot my hand up towards him and the burning in my hand indicated that the fire within them was ready, then I felt relief. I dodged barely, toppling over Naomi and landing on the floor. I felt my skin tear.
"Ooh! That hurt," I snarled, scrunching my face tight.
My hand instinctively went to my side, but that wasn't where the pain was. It was my thigh. I looked down and saw the fresh cut. Nolan was lying on the ground, his hair burnt to a crisp. Naomi helped me up and placed me in bed.
