"Are you sure your family is ok with me staying over?", Seungmin whispers as I carefully close the front door, making sure not to make any loud noises as we then take our shoes off, only using Seungmin's phone flashlight as our light. I nod my head as I put our shoes on the shoe shelf.

"I'll just steal some clothes from Kijae and leave him some money. It's like renting out his clothes.", I shrug as I lead him to the staircase, making sure to tell him where it's creaky, then going to Kijae's room.

I was expecting there to be no light in his room since it was almost two in the morning, but to my surprise there was still a light on, and it wasn't his special galaxy light that he usually leaves on.

I softly knock on the door and push it open a bit, peeping my head in. I then see Kijae looking at the door while holding his headset off one of his ears. He then smiles at me and places it down, running up to me and hugging me tightly.

"I was so worried about you!", he quietly says. I smile as I hug him back for a bit before pushing him away.
"Why are you awake? You have basketball practice in the morning.", I say. Kijae shrugs as he goes over to his monitor and leaves his Roblox game, shutting his PC down as he turns to me again.

"You weren't picking up Heejae or I's calls, so I stayed up to make sure you got home safely.", he mumbles, "where even were you?"

"She was with me.", Seungmin smiles as he peeps his head into the room. Kijae's face lights up again as he pushes me out of his way and does his handshake with Seungmin quietly, making sure their claps aren't loud.

"Are you staying over tonight?", Kijae asks as he lets us in his room, closing the door slightly. I nod my head.

"He's going to have to borrow some clothes again.", I shrug. Kijae nods his head as he goes over to his closet and picks out a plain, black t-shirt and grey sweatpants.

"I can also lend you some clothes to wear tomorrow?", he says as he takes out a sleeveless basketball jersey and some black shorts. Seungmin shrugs his shoulders.

"We'll see in the morning," Seungmin smiles, "Thanks for these though."
"Anytime.", Kijae smiles back, "now go to your room before mom wakes up. She usually goes down to the kitchen at this time to get some water."

"Right." I sigh as Seungmin and I head for the door, "Thanks again, Ki.", I then close the door as Seungmin and I then make our way to my bedroom. Luckily, it was far away from my mom's room, so we could talk at a normal volume.

"Never saw that side of Kijae.", Seungmin laughs as he quietly closes my door and sets his bag and keys on my desk. I nod as I smile a bit.

"He's always trying to act tough, but he's actually a sweetheart.", I say as I open my closet door and grab some pyjamas, turning the light on in the bathroom and pointing at the cabinet, "There's some spare toothbrushes in there, so you can go in and change while I change out here."

"You can always go first if you want, it's your room.", Seungmin frowns. I shake my head as I point over to the vanity.
"I need to take my makeup off first, so you go ahead.", I smile as I push him inside the bathroom and close the door.

I quickly change into my pyjamas, throwing my dirty clothes into the laundry hamper in the corner of my room and go to vanity to take my makeup off with some wipes.

I then hear Seungmin knock on the bathroom door, "Jae?", he calls out, "You done?".

I stand up from the chair and go to open the door, scaring him a bit since my face was a bit messy due to the makeup being smudged around.

"You can leave your clothes in the hamper, I'll do the laundry in the morning.", I say as I point to the corner of the room, going inside of the bathroom to wash the remains of my makeup off and to brush my teeth.

After I had done so, I saw Seungmin staring at some photos on my wall. It was photos of my family, other friends I had and the group, but the biggest photo on the wall was the last photo I had of my dad, the last one where it was just the two of us.

I was about eight in the photo, and it was taken maybe a month or so before his passing. We were at an amusement park, one of the best memories I had with him.
In the photo, my dad was carrying me on his back as I held a stick of cotton candy. He was acting like a superhero, so I was pointing the stick up towards the sky. We both had wide smiles on our faces.

I go up to Seungmin and stand beside him as I stare at the photo, smiling as I went over the memories from that day at the park. I had gone on my first rollercoaster with him, he had won me so many plushes from those mini game stalls, and he even went into the bumper cars with me, driving into everyone he possibly could.

"Remember that day your dad was taking care of us while our moms were out together?", Seungmin asks, "He didn't care about what we ate, so we had so many bags of Skittles."

"Our moms were so mad at him, but we were too busy laughing our heads off from the sugar rush.", I laugh as I then feel warm tears forming in the corners of my eyes, the smile fading from my face as it became a frown. I then leaned my head on Seungmin's shoulder, holding his hand tightly in my own.

I guess Seungmin heard my unsteady breaths since he instantly looked at me and hugged me tightly, brushing his fingers through my hair.

"I miss my dad, so much.", I mumble with a frown as Seungmin kept me close. Luckily, I didn't cry for long since Seungmin was right there where I needed him.

We did end up laying down together on my bed, both on our phones since we weren't tired just yet.

He had an arm around me since I had rest my head on his chest, and that just made me safe.

We did eventually fall peacefully asleep while hugging each other, the only noises were coming from the air con and someone's phone.. which was probably mine since I was on TikTok..
