Chapter 3: The Assistance

Whimpu POV-

I am so dizzy as I'm waking up, as if I'd been hit over the head with a baseball bat. My vision is disoriented, I can hardly see a thing... until I begin to see someone in front of me, someone with horns on his head and a demonic smile

"Peekaboo!", the demon person said

I screamed for my life, as I was being confronted by none other than Kaizo, my biggest romantic rival for Saiko's heart. He and her have a history as old friends and play music together. "Does... has he finally had enough of me simping for his girl???", I thought to myself in stress

"Look, I'm sorry I keep trying to date your friend", I said, "I just thought she's very hot but I promise to stop-" before I could finish, Kaizo slapped me across the face

"Relax man, if I were here to end you I'd have tied you up first", he says, while pointing to the fact that I, in fact, am not tied up

"Oh...", I thought to myself as I was dumbfounded

Out of nowhere, Bob appeared and said "Yeah! We're here to offer you some professional enhancements so you can impress Tari with your sick video game skills!"

Mario the appears with a big needle with some kind of liquid in it. The container had 'gamer Rizz' written on it

"W-WHAT??? I'm not trying to 'impress' her or make her go out with me!", I said in alarm, "Every time I do that, girls just hate me and want nothing to do with me. I can't let that happen here too!"

We found ourselves in a moment of silence, one that lasted for a few seconds

"Welp, if this isn't gonna stop him from going after my girl, I'm out", Kaizo says, as he walks out of the basement

"Bruh", Bob says, "if you don't want to date her, why are you so nervous about going to her house?"

"Mario thinks he didn't think he'd make it this far", Mario says, with the same cross eyed look he usually has

"Guys, could you just listen to me for a second?", I said, with visibly annoyance in my voice, "I'm so tired of having to work for a girl's attention, and I'm tired of feeling alone"

"If helping Tari with this will finally let me get close with someone, someone who might actually like being around me..." I said, "then that's something I can't screw up! You understand me?"

Mario and Bob look at each other, seemingly contemplating what to do next

"Ugh, fine!", Bob says, "If you don't want dating advice, I guess you should just go to help her. A good friend is supportive."

"But be sure to have fun as you do it, ok?", Mario says, "and try not to be a b***h like you usually do, ok? Everyone likes confidence!"

I was surprised with how good the advice Mario gave me was. He was the last person I'd assume would be helpful in this kind of matter

"T-Thanks guys! I'll try my best", I said to them, in full confidence and gratitude

"Okie Dokie!", Mario said. "You got this, man!", Bob said

I the left the basement, looked at the time, and noticed that I only have half an hour to get to Tari's place as fast as I can. I ran as fast as I could, hoping I'd be on time
