Chapter 14: The Victory

Tari POV-

I stood there in disbelief, still trying to comprehend what had just happened

"I... I won?", I said quietly to myself

It must have been a pretty big deal, as everyone else was speechless as well. That is, until the announcer finally broke the silence and spoke up

"Evelyn... has no more lives, leaving Tari as the last one standing!", the announcer said, with a hint of disbelief

"Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to our new champion: Tari!!!!", he said in full hype

In that moment, the entire crowd started cheering, chanting "Champion! Champion! Champion!". Seconds later, I heard the same from my friends... save for one

"Tari!", a voice behind me said, snapping me out of it

I turned around, and I saw Whimpu, running up to me with a big smile on his face. He then picked me up by my waist and spun me around, causing me to let out a slight eep

"You won!", he said in excitement, just before putting me back down, "You beat Evelyn and became the champion!"

"I... I did!", I said in excitement, "I defeated Evelyn!"

Before I knew it, the rest of my friends, save for Meggy and Saiko, picked me up the way a sports team would pick up the player who score the winning point in the game

"Champion! Champion! Champion!" They all cheered, carrying me as we exited out of the stadium to celebrate

Evelyn POV-

"You brat!", I said out loud, "Don't ignore me! You don't get that privilege just because you beat me!!!!!"

I kept yelling at her, but she either didn't hear me, or just didn't care what I had to say

"Oh when I next see that brat...", I said, "I'm gonna-"

"Oh, I don't think your 'gonna' anything", a voice behind me said, as I felt two hands on my shoulders

I looked behind me, and it was two women. One a ginger haired girl with shorts and a beanie, and another with twin ponytails and a punk rock outfit

"Not when you have soooo much left to answer for!", the punk girl said, again, with a smile that can only be described as demonic

"Yeah hoe, after hearing about your history with Tari, I've been dying to meet you!", the ginger haired girl said, as she pulled out... is that a paint gun???

I gulped

No One's POV-

Later that night, we see the SMG4 crew partying it out at Tari's place in celebration of Tari's big win

"And then she said, 'Nooooo!!! Don't shave off my hair and replace it with road kill!!!'", Saiko said, "and then I was like, 'Naw, you been asking for this hoe! Nobody picks on my Tari!'"

Saiko, Meggy, and Belle all laughed in response to that

"Ha! Man, I wish I joined you guys!", Belle said, with a chuckle to her voice, "She's BEEN asking for that!"

As the girls continued to laugh, just behind them, Tari and Whimpu was sitting together, talking and laughing together as well

"Thanks for helping me, Whimpu", Tari said, with a soft voice, "I really appreciate it!"

"Any time!", Whimpu replied

They both turned away from each other as they blush

"Tari...", Whimpu said
