Grian sat on his seat as he stared at his desk with his hands under it. He listened to Sam's empty words about his "beloved" girlfriend he would kill for. He almost did. Once. But no one even paid attention to that. Everyone just seemed to be blind or crazy. He felt like soon his mind wouldn't be able to take it anymore, and he would finally lose it.
"Alright, students, today we've got a new transfer student." The teacher said, drawing every students' attention. A tall brunette elf entered the class and stopped beside the teacher. "Let's welcome Scar." She announced. Everyone sat silent and stared at him.
He had emerald green eyes, common pointy elven ears, long hair accurately tied in a high bun, a few long scars on his face and hands and an innocent look on his face. He wore our school's uniform.
'Wow.. a new student... maybe he is normal, God, I hope so.' Grian thought as he glanced at him. Scar looked around the class and waved a bit shyly. "Ok, Scar, tell us something about yourself." Teacher asked.
"Well, hello. As you already know I'm Scar. It's really nice to meet you. I'm a transfer student from America. I have a cat. Her name is Jellie. She is one of the reasons I have these scars." Scar explained, smiling and looking around once again. "Ok, thanks, you can now take a seat and then we'll start the lesson. Sit beside Grian. Grian, please raise your hand." She then continued. Grian hesitantly and slowly raised his hand. Scar quickly nodded to the teacher and sat beside Grian. Grian glanced at him again.
'Well, he kinda looks normal. But it's not a fact. Just wait for his true self to shine.' He thought to himself, not noticing that he was already staring.
"I'm sorry, but do you want anything from me?" Scar whispered awkwardly. "What? Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you!" Grian answered.
"Hey, is everything ok, Gree-on? Is he being mean to you?" Taurtis, on the other hand, asked. "What? The newbie is being mean to him?" Sam said from behind Taurtis. "No, no, no, it's not it. I just - " Grian got cut off by Sam. "No, Gree-on, you don't need any excuse when you are getting bullied." Sam shushed him.
"Um, I think you misunderstood." Scar said. "I think YOU misunderstood. This is our friend and you are a mean mean bully that doesn't know who he's messing with." Sam pointed his finger to Scar. Scar desperately looked at Grian for help, but he didn't know what to do either. "Yeah, Sam, tell him!" Taurtis encouraged. "Listen, guys, I just was staring at him and then he asked me if I needed something. I apologized and that's all. Stop this bullshit. You are the ones being mean." Grian explained aggressively, but then covered his mouth with his hands and shut up. Scar looked worried and confused. Taurtis and Sam just looked at each other, shrugged and continued their little conversation they had going on before they started this short conflict.
"Are you alright?" Scar whispered, so only Grian could hear. He got a quick and quiet "yeah" in response. Scar looked at Grian. He was quietly sitting and listening to Taurtis and Sam. He seemed to be scared of them, but still hung out with them. Maybe they threatened him? Who knows? Scar just couldn't take the thought out of his mind.

After the lesson ended the bell rang, announcing recess. Everyone headed to the cafeteria, where everyone had lunch and chatted. It was a pretty small place but enough for the little number of students.
"Hey, Gree-on. Don't talk to that guy, Scar. He is weird and suspicious, too. Why did he even transfer to Japan?! From America! He is just too weird." Sam told Grian. "Especially, his scars!" Taurtis added. Sam agreed with him, chuckling in the process.
Their jokes always were a bit weird. At least Grian thought so. Maybe all the crazies joke weirdly. He doesn't know if he didn't actually lose it too. It's just so hard to handle. They usually laughed at some random unfunny things, sometimes even violent. Mostly it was Sam. He was like the devil himself. Like his little costume he wore on Halloween. It was more like showing his true self, not a costume, Grian thought so. And his little girlfriend, Yuki, too. She is the most yandere person he has ever seen. But he hopes that this new student is better than them. He seems to care about others and react to someone being insane. Grian just found a way to possibly keep his sanity. No matter what his friends will say or try to do, he has to communicate with this sane newbie.
Grian looked at the table Scar was sitting by. He was talking to their classmates. He seemed to be pretty kind and talkative. Students on that table were joking and laughing like average students on lunch. Grian wanted to join them. But the presence of his friends were the thing holding him. He is scared. Scared that they will hurt him. Or do something worse. He couldn't just shake the feeling of danger off when they were around. It was explainable.
"Gree-on? Gree-on!" Taurtis called out, making Grian snap out and dragging him into the conversation.

(Also Grian's POV)
The last lesson was PE and this time we had to fight each other .. This whole fighting thing reminded me of when Sam stabbed Taurtis and made me... I didn't even want to think of that day. It was just too traumatizing. And again Sam and Taurtis started an argument between each other about some popstar or something. I didn't quite get it. But they decided to fight on PE. I wouldn't stop them. It's their fight they were having and it was none of my business.
I decided to instead of just watching them fight again, go and have a normal conversation with the newbie. I walked towards him and leaned on the wall as he did.
"Hey, Scar. Sorry about what happened on chemistry, again." I apologized, drawing his attention. He looked at me with his big emerald eyes and kindly smiled. Wow, that smile would make any girl fall in love. "It's okay. It was nothing at all. I'm used to such misunderstandings." He said, crossing his hands on his chest. "What? Really? You don't seem to be." I said. He really is a pleasant partner in conversation. "It's because of the scars." He pointed out, still smiling. Such a gentle ans honest smile. I think I'm falling in love with his sanity. "Oh, that's kinda sad." I said, looking away. "No, no, it's nothing much. I'm sure you had more troubles with these two." Scar chuckled and side-hugged me. I didn't know what to do at first but then I heard: "Tell me if you need help with them, okay?" He told me with a serious tone. Why is he so obsessed with them possibly hurting me? That is suspicious, but I was glad that someone actually cared. He then let go of me and smiled again. I responded with a short "yeah".
I noticed a slight blush on his cheeks before he left and told something to the teacher and left the lesson to then come back in the end of the lesson. It looked like he was a bit embarrassed of his action or something. He was talking so straight up confidently, so it was pretty obvious.
